The fact that you had a vastly different interpretation to mine on the whole mural thing definitely drives home what a good job Oda has done designing this to allow for multiple different readings of what's being depicted. I personally don't see Joyboy specifically as having been directly complicit in the use of slave labor in the ancient kingdom. Personally I read it as maybe the ancient kingdom itself was evil and oppressing people as slaves to build and run its technologically advanced society. And Joyboy went out to sea as a pirate to escape or get away from that evil. What if the twist is that the ancient kingdom itself was one of the oppressive kingdoms that made up the twenty nation alliance and Imu was its king? And the whole idea of the ancient kingdom facing off against the allied nations is a misreading of history. And perhaps Joyboy's alliance was much more loose and composed of people from all over the world without any particular country leading them? I'm literally just spitballing here but it definitely feels like there's a specific piece of information about the ancient kingdom that's been kept from us for this exact reason; to keep us from coming to this conclusion too quickly

You might be onto something. I took the right bottom side as the Ancient Kingdom using slaves to build themselves up especially the 2 on the boat to the right of the ones going into the earth. They come back back up with riches but it seems like some give donations to Joyboy on Zunesha and the rest go to the Ancient Kingdom. That could be VPs and Rayleighs reference to having to make their own decisions.

i also find it weird why the ancient kingdom with their advance technology to just live in peace create a world destroying weapons. also if you look the mural as a whole and not about it being 3 separate time. Imu and joyboy seems to be an ally fighting the ancient god weapons that the ancient kingdom created. i mean look at imu riding zunesha. they were probably once a crew just like the strawhat crew. 1st world - joyboy and imu and the 20 kingdoms against the ancient kingdom 2nd world - "the sun god lit the embers of war". kinda sounds to me that joyboy caused the second war and in doing so failed his promise to the fishman to get them to the surface. i think what cause the second war was related to joyboy and lily. or lilys disappearance that made imu evil. and we are currently in the third world right now with luffy.

BTW, are they going down into the hole below Enies Lobby? I played with this more and it makes too much sense, especially with an eternal sun being Enies Lobbys always daytime oddity. But you also have Long Ring Long Land that looks like the ancient kingdom flag, and nearly is the Florian Triangle which had those giant shadow yokai which remind many people of Imu the God of the Sea.

I think the king on the right might be the king of alabasta,rather than imu, who didn't resign to the devil as the 19 people(celestial families) did and chose to live among the people of the lower realm. Trading away their divinity for the stars of the devil. Imu might invoke the likeness of the king figure though swing that he has some specific fixation with lily and the alabastian family line. I'm kinda taking the image of the Noah and the people as that king setting himself apart from the celestials. I also think the serpent is the redline as the 19 figures go towards it. While I do agree it's most likely a lunarian we can't be sure. There's at least a few races with wings. The skypeians the birkans the shandians. Also since the shandians were on Jaya before it went into the sky there's potentially a ton more of races either on earth or in the sky that had wings or still do.

@prodmoira It is a lunarian because in the mural in the manga that diving angel is shaded dark, just like the silhouettes of the devils and dragons, etc., and one defining feature of Lunarians besides the flame and the wings is their skin color.

@@NotSomeJustinWithoutAMoustache that's a possibility but if you actually look at it it's the same shade as every other Grey on the page. Its the same shade as the giant and the gray on emeth. The durag on the ancient giant is the same color as the silhouettes you mentioned. Nika/joyboy is the same color as them. But the angel like character is lighter then them. Again it could still be a lunarian but it's a lot lighter then the silhouettes. It could very well be a birkan or citizen of ancient jaya who both tended to be darker then the average sky person. It's not quite as light as the mermaid princess or the fox like mink next to her but I mean even the tontatta behind her is a lot darker then the angel. It's also not like that shade is exclusive to the silhouettes either so if oda wanted to make it clear that it was a lunarian he could've which is the only reason I have much doubt. With the giant wings it made me think it kind of had to be a lunarian at first too so I don't blame anyone for thinking that for certain. But after a little research other characters do have similarly large wings so until we know for sure there's a lot of possibilities. I'm not trying to say you're wrong though I don't know if I'm being clear on that or not.

@@prodmoira I wish I could post a picture of the actual panel here but if you look at it, the object that you would assume to be a halo isn’t shaped like one because if you look to the page on the right, the people going down look like they actually have halos on there heads. If you look at the “Angel” that’s diving, the shape is more detailed as if it’s a flame. Please go check it out, trust me, you will understand.

@@freecreamsoda it does look like that but that's not conclusive evidence that it's a lunarian. They don't have flames on their heads they have it on their backs. Maybe they're a lunarian adjacent race or maybe some did have flames over their heads at one point but that's not as conclusive as you're making it out to be. It's possible again like my previous comment I'm not trying to say you're wrong but all I am saying is we don't know. Our knowledge about the sky races is very limited so it's important to keep that in mind.

“They will surely meet again” could reference the 4 Blues. My theory is that the God of the Earth and the Serpent of Hell are either the ones who created or ARE the Red Line and the Grand Line. Those lines were created a LONG time ago. And the “they could never meet again” is about the sees being separated.” Whatever Luffy and the strawhats are gonna do is going to tear down the Red Line, probably filling the world with chaos, but the chunks will create new landmasses, while the Calm Belt is destroyed by Shirahoshi moving all the Sea Beasts, having them spread out, therefore having no more division between the 4 blues.

One small detail to add; when Shamrock calls for Cerberus, you can see the "dark cloud" ring around the three heads indicating it's an awakened zoan. That may be why Cerberus is able to launch its heads away from the blade/body. Crazy sequence of events that are wrapped up in a huge lore dump by Oda.
