I mean Oden was pretty much a crew member for them, he was family. And since Ace has even talked about Roger being his father to WB. I mean if Ace shared so much with WB, then WB might have talked more about previous WB pirates. Maybe Ace didn't know, and maybe WB crew didn't know. But it does feel like a plot hole. Maybe Whitebeard knew about Oden’s death but felt that there was nothing he could do. He could’ve been waiting the twenty years for Momo and the scabbards to come back because he might not have known about Hiyori also being alive. Fighting Kaido and Orochi’s forces would have taken a lot of resources that could’ve been useless if Wano didn’t have a good leader afterwards.

Much as WB loves his family look at the odds he'd face. First he'd have to invade Wano. You all know how difficult it is to get in there. Even marines and WG haven't been able to in the last hundreds of years. If marines can't then WB can't. His ship crashed accidentally and he'd have to bring a whole fleet. More over, Kaido isn't a push over and is a Yonko. Wano is the easiest place to defend and Kaido is called a governor general meaning he's intelligent as military strategist. He can divide his forces to defend the waterfalls and if they get up there's a whirlpool waiting for them. And oh yeah Kaido is a flying dragon, he'll just blast breath from up top together with King. If for some reason some WB forces climb the fall, Kaido and forces can retreat to Onigashima after capturing hostages. WB fleet would then need to sail on open seas to Onigashima which only has one entrance and mountain ranges giving him tactical advantage. Once again in open seas there's King and Kaido with flame abilities . Honestly I just think WB would lose and then that would leave his territory open for big mom or other pirates to pillage and plunder and even if he wins it'd be after taking way too many losses. Guys WB wasn't a god as y'all think he is.

I think kaido is somewhat of a coward, he just like orochi has fobia of someone that could be stronger than him, oda already gave us few hints, the fact that kaido hated people with kings haki, he also has chances to kill oden in an honorable fight instead he put a bullet in oden head who was defenseless, he also backing down on his word on killing big mom after he wasn't able to beat her, he also stopped his advanced to marineford after shanks stop him, other yonko like big mom was openly created a new country without fear of any rival power while kaido hq was in a country that hard to access from the outside world, its like he was scared to have any confrontational against other rival power

I gotta imagine that news about Wano just doesn't get out, they probably didn't even know that Orochi had usurped the throne from Oden. They may have thought Oden had partnered up with Kaido. Or maybe White Beard didn't want to get involved because he used to be on the same crew as Kaido and he doesn't want to fight former crew members.

It seems odd that Whitebeard wouldn't check he would of had the ability to do it. One way or another. As for Whitebeard not wanting to fight Kaido. I'm not too sure, Kaido killed someone Whitebeard considered a brother and helped ruin his brothers home. It doesn't seem like Whitebeard. It seems like an oversight on Oda's end.

I think WB knew but it's a terrible idea to attack Kaido much as Oden was family. The geography of Wano is one where invading it no matter how strong you are you'd lose and Kaido is another Yonko. That meant chances of a loss was high. That and Roger told WB about the 20 year prophecy so old man decided to chill and let things happen. At least to me that makes sense than not knowing what was going on.

In the case that he did find out, why would he tell Whitebeard? He has no reason to since he doesn't know that Whitebeard once washed up there. Its also possible that he did tell Whitebeard but they just never got the chance to tell everyone else before Blackbeard happened.

Marco could have told him about Oden and since ace went there and the guys knew he could make the braided hats, it's easy to piece two and two together about Oden and Wano. And new ace was in Wano with his spade crew who got absorbed into WB crew. So after 5 years no one had any conversations about their voyages?? Honestly this plot hole is indefensible with that excuse.

Hey tekking, what do you think about sanji now that jinbe has joined the crew, I hear plethora of people saying that jinbe's gonna replace sanji in the monster trio. Another think did oda really did him dirty after the ts? I mean he was a tank prior to ts. Because of this many people believe that the gap between zoro and sanji has increased immensely and that's the reason jinbe would be the one in the monster trio. In punk hazard, vergo LITERALLY BROKE his leg, like come on oda that's one body part which should be the strongest in sanji's body, also whole cake was supposed to sanji's arc, but we didn't get anything from him except him making a giant ass cake for her mother in law. Yes, I think Whitebeard (even Roger and both pirate crew) never knew Oden died and also Oden because of his pride (maybe) never contacted anyone outside of Wano informing of problems there. If not Whitebeard should have already attack Wano for revenge/rescue like he did at the Summit War.
