Bradley Briggs: Very able cannoneer, didn't miss a single shot. Used the nearby shore to his advantage in the battle against Hugh Man. Invented a new "Swordfish Attack", a headbutt enhanced by a jumping start out of the water. Commanded Heather to prioritize Yokan over Taiga, taking it upon himself to save Taiga's life. Yokan: Personally struck Hugh Man's house with a cannonball. Her heightened senses helped her locate Hugh Man during his burrowing action. Struggling to control her martial arts through her blind rage. Distraught by her recent struggles in combat, she snapped the neck of the last of the Hito Hito Pirates on their main island, going directly against Damian's orders. Damian: Commanded a full bombardment of the Hito Hito Pirates' main base using their own main ship. Choppa: Provided artillery and sonar against Hugh Man(⌐■_■) Taiga Kibbleton: Supposedly eats worms for breakfast, giving him an inherent advantage against Hugh Man, the literal worm. Received an honest-to-goodness apology from Yokan upon her errant swings. Gains the honor of being the one who consigned the Hito Hito Pirates' captain to the dustbin of history. CASUALTY REPORT: Kai: Slammed down into the ground by Hugh Man's "Worm Armageddon" attack, minor burns to the hand trying to throw a flaming plank of wood at Hugh Man. Yokan: Slammed down into the ground by Hugh Man's "Worm Armageddon" attack, partially healed by Heather and a medkit applied by Bradley, bruises from being restrained by one of Hugh Man's tentacles, the pressure eventually rendering her unconscious, returned to fighting condition via Heather's healing magic, wrenched free of the tentacle by LCDR. Powder. Damian: Slammed down into the ground by Hugh Man's "Worm Armageddon" attack. Choppa: Had a sudden power down mid-combat before being rebooted by Damian 0_0 Taiga Kibbleton: Fell flat on his face trying to jump onto dry land, bloody nose, Blunt force trauma via two errant swings of Yokan's staff, Rendered unconscious by Hugh Man's "Worm Armageddon" attack, coming as close to death as physically possible before being brought back to fighting condition via a medkit applied by Bradley. LCDR. Powder: Slammed down into the ground by Hugh Man's "Worm Armageddon" attack. (This crew ran into LCDR. Powder while infiltrating the Hito Hito Pirates' main ship, that old seadog sure can swim alright(I do not have clearance to give a full review of non-Branch 101 Commissioned Officers). Heather is apparently not a very good cannoneer by her own admission. Selena's literal blind rage does not seem to be doing her any favors combat-wise, and her presence may be an impediment to the cohesion of this crew. Cheers to Anchor Arms for holding down the ship(I will be allowed a full spot in the review for him should Jiro accept his enlistment). So, Hugh Man turned out to be a literal worm that ate the Hito Hito no Mi, this truly is a vast and interesting world isn't it...ugh. Of all the potential points of tension in this crew, Yokan-Damian was not one I'd ever expect to come to a boil like that. Let's not let that sour the victory here today(Not least because I never have to write the term "Worm Armageddon" ever again, thank goodness). Three cheers for Petty Officer Taiga Kibbleton!)

That was a huge blunder on Yokan's part. Damian was spitting straight facts. This was the main base of the pirates so the custodian won't know shit about the movements over here since they were directly under Hugh Mann's authority. There could be an entire troup that was just out razing a village and now they'll get away. Hell there's an alternate universe where Hugh Mann only got back later and no one knew he was still alive because she killed the last captive. There's the potential for hundreds if not thousands of lives (in the case of them starting the pirate crew up again.) to be ruined, and it would all be because of Yokan. There's a reason listening to orders is emphasized so much in military institutions.

Fun fact! Cannons are ranged weapons, as are many siege weapons. If you can find a way to get advantage on the attack roll, sneak attack will apply. If Bradley wanted to go full Peter Francisco, it would mechanically work, so long as the cannon doesn't get wet and isn't above Bradley's carrying capacity (this would impose disadvantage iirc). Furthermore, in standard combat range, the ally near enemy clause would also still proc.

Holy crap this is fantastic. I didn't know how Rustage was gonna handle hugh mann but as always Rustage did a fantastic job. Really cool reveal but on restrospect how did i not realize that he's not a human, his name is HUGH MANN, that's so obviously a name that only someone pretending to be a human would have. That aside this episode had great action, dramatic moments, another way to cool for the contex Kai one-liner 40:21, a really good argument between Damian and Yokan truly showing the struggles of a marine and most importantly of all TAIGA GETTING A BOSS KILL!!! Truly a finale to such an incredible arc.

To be fair Chopper used the drugs only to help him use those forms. After the time skip he only needs the rumble balls for Monster Point, any other form he can use them freely now. So it's possible that Hugh Mann just discovered his different forms with training. In the end he also awakened his fruit so it's clear that he was an amazing devil fruit user
