I wonder if people that does not like this arc were the people following the serie with 1 episod per week. Because when many things happens with a lot of pauses, the brain will forget and will be bored when every week "nothing happens". But when the pace is sped up, there are a lot of things going on and it's great.

hey @shadowofthetree8293, I followed 1 episode per week in this moment of the anime, and I loved it, for me is one of the bests seasons of one piece, I don't know man, depends of the person. One piece for me was always really more about getting fun and the adventure/curiosity/mystery then from the fights and powers and come to the end, so, like I said, the opinion of this saga is more about perspective. And you have to agree with me, that's one of the most fun sagas, with the bests jokes of all...

Regarding filler to react to. G8 is the filler everyone loves and Ice Hunters is the filler arc I like but isn't universally loved. Now that you've finished Skypiea you can also watch movies 1-6 without spoilers. 6 is absolutely worth a reaction! A simultaneously very good and very different film. 1 and 2 are worth a watch(Less than an hour each), 4 was the best of the movies until 6 came along... and I don't recommend 3 or 5, they are pretty bad.

But to save your time and sumarize a bit; the story is about a bunch of youngsters who pretended to be the rebel army. The rest you can go check on yourself if you really want to go back.

This whole arc is Poetic , you'll see why Tho we have one Complaint , the pacing is quite slow ..... that causes lots of people out there think this arc isn't worth , some of them even told anyone to SKIP this arc.. but not for me tho , credit where its due , this arc had one of THE BEST Story told , AND it is SUUUUPER SUPER IMPORTANT for a long term

I dont understand when some people out there who call themself OP fans telling the new fans to skip Skypea just because they think this is not good in their eyes. I mean, Oda didnt put this arc to be skipped so you may somehow enjoy the story in the future. Cause you would certainly miss the first glance of power in the future and they called it here "mantra". And the explanation of Phoneglyph, and also Roger. There are things here which will be quite important in the future reference if you really understand the story, and they tell the new fans to skip it? Unbelievable. 🙄

Until Skypiea, the pace wasn't really dragged down but there's filler episodes between each arc. Alabasta was the exception with the whole Ace thing for the first 10 episodes that slowed down the first quarter of the arc. For Skypiea, the anime unlike the manga add so much useless things that for some episodes, half of it was anime content only and if you cut them, skypiea will be a 30 episodes arc instead of 43. For those that don't like the arc, they should read it (Eneru attacks are far better portrayed in the manga than the anime).
