As you already noticed, this series being made in the late 90s and being animated by Toei shares many sound effects from early Dragon Ball and DBZ... As much as i do love One Piece, it's definitely NOT and nowhere near the highest grossing anime. The highest grossing anime franchise of all time is obviously Pokemon and no other anime comes close. The highest selling Manga though is One Piece
