- This has been Fantastic for a Live Adaptation for this series which seems to be mostly the East Blue Saga mixed with the “ Diary of Koby-meppo” & “Buggy’s Crew Adventure Chronicles” Cover stories, so I hope that they make a 2nd season which if they do another 8 or 10 episodes I can see them doing Logue Town to Alabasta - Easter Eggs in this Episode: - Notice on Usopp’s ketchup bottle it says “Boshi” which means Star & is what his attack names are - Luffy brakes Arlong’s weapon the Kiribachi / Shark Saw just like in the manga / anime, but when he bent it just like how he did with Arlong’s nose - While Zoro & Sanji are fighting & arguing you can see an octopus statue next to a tree this is a reference to Hachi - Nami after the fight with Arlong is wearing an outfit based on the one she wore on the color spread of Ch.107 - The song as Nami leaves her mother’s grave & the ending is called “My Sails are Set” featuring Aurora - Like the new papers in the manga & anime the live action continues where Oda puts some information in them with this one referencing the island of Vira was taken over by the Revolutionary Army along with is logo which was first mention in Ch.96 / Ep.45 - Notice next to Luffy’s poster in the Baratie is next to cards referencing Nojiko’s Tangerines, Sandra Lizard a species from Alabasta, & the mizumizu meat from Water 7 while on the left references recipes for a Tomahawk Spiny Lobster from Shokugeki No Sanji Ch.1 - When Buggy & Alvida meet you can see a Don Krieg wanted poster on the wall - The barrel that the Straw Hats used to announce their dreams is the same one Luffy was in that being it is labeled with Gyoru the fishmonger from Windmill Village - On the End Credit map you can see the Cozia Island the island that Sanji escaped from the Germa - As we see Smoker you can see while he was looking at Luffy’s Wanted Poster (bounty is 30,000,000 Berries / Yen = $ 202,956.39) he was stacking stones a hobby of his - Missing Characters: Marines Commander Ripper (he become base commander) & Lieutenant Junior Grade Rokkaku of Shells Town (but they might have been in Food Foo, Soro (Hemeppo’s pet wolf that Zoro killed), Poro (Bookstore Owner of Orange Town), Hocker (Chouchou’s owner), Richie the Lion, Superhuman Domingos, 1/3 of the Tightrope Walking Funan Bros (guys Nami tricks at the start), Gyoru (Windmill Village fishmonger which was referenced on the barrel), Chicken (Gyoru’s wife but they were probably see Shanks off in the flashback), the Usopp pirate members Carrot, Pepper, & Onion, Carne (Baratie cook), Batchee (bug that Fullbody uses), Roxanne (a female Baratie customer), Mummy Mee & Daddy Dee (houseparents of a World Government-affiliated orphanage at Conomi Islands), Sam (drunk Easter Egg), Teru (carpenter at Cocoyasi Village), Johnny & Yosaku, Nako (Cocoyasi village doctor, but Zeffirelli references him), Chabo (kid from the Gosa Village), Gaimon (he was referenced in Kaya’s garden, & Hachi (which I can see him coming into the story at Sabaody)

I agree that all actors in these show nailed their roles, they were able to embody their roles well. Many people or fans just loves comparing things instead of appreciating the hard work and efforts that the show one piece live action family put in this show. They love nitpicking everything. But for me, it's a 10/10. They were able to keep the spirit of one piece, there's some certain scenes, informations, and story that has changed but my theory is maybe Oda wants to improve some things or certain stories that he can't change anymore in manga, but instead he puts it in here. Which is also a good move for me. Mihawk and Zoro's introduction is so good. In anime zoro vs. mr 7 was just mentioned but they showed in here which I really like. Iñaki (Luffy's actor) is literally like Luffy irl. He's goofy and very cheerful guy. Man is literally hilarious without doing anything.

I love the way they changed the pinwheel idea from the anime. I feel it fits better, but that's just me.

9/10 It may not be the greatest anime adaptation but its one of the best! This is the best way to introduce OP to a newer audience since Oda himself is getting older and about time for people to know this Masterpiece.

@@Itshhmm I'd say Rurouni is better by a step. It has areas better where OP lacked like the fights. But OPLA story is better. If I were to give OP an 8. Rurouni is like 8.5. I'd also give Gintama an 8 for what it is.

it's cute that they left in Usopp playing dead, but what's the point? in the manga, he played dead because he was too scared to fight, and then he had has his inner monologue which resulted in him turning around. here, he plays dead, seemingly to trick the fishman into a trap or something, but then he just calls out to him? it makes no sense without the context of him being scared shitless. was it really too much to film an extra minute of him contemplaiting his actions? you know, make sure the audience understands why his goal is to become a brave warrior?

Since you don't understand allow me to explain. Here Chu needs to drink the booze to shoot at Usopp. Him playing dead tricks Chu into lowering his guard so he just goes back to drinking his booze without spitting it. Usopp then gets Chu's attention to prevent him from drinking more so he can attack. ALSO it gives him a clearer shot of the bottle. This isn't hard to gather from what is there. Also the audience knows why Usopp wants to become a brave warrior of the sea WITHOUT that specific scene. Usopp wants to be like his dad. That's it.

Also, Usopp kinda likes to brag before running away when he tries to scare enemies and it doesn't work lol And for christ's sake I hate so much when I read a manga and there's a two fucking pages of the character speaking to hisself just to show the audience what he's thinking, it's such a lazy and trash way to do it But people apparently need that cuz their brains can't do 2+2

You want Usop to talk himself alone, they already showed Usop as cowardly by having him run alone from the fishman, then they showed Usop has tricks in his sleeve by pretending to be dead and hitting the alcohol. Not everything needs to be 1 to 1, you are nitpicking on the live action when the manga is also full of flaws especially in the east blue saga
