This is such a great Luffy moment, as he prepares his attack towards that island. Where there are thousands of people, many of them he has vowed to protect and liberate. Luffy's entire crew(basically his family) are there as well and he says "I trust you" to that scared little boy, because even though Momo doesn't believe in himself, Luffy does

If you guys are going to start One Piece from the start, Im going to be honest. Its not going to be as flashy, quick or this powerful. All the characters devolop their strength and abilities over time through great story progression. Its why many people in Western culture dismiss One Piece because it doesnt get into seeing Super Saiyan, Jinjuriki abilities, or other overpowered abilities a soon as most animes. But.. One Piece does something even more incredible than other popular Shonen. And thats its storytelling. The story leading up to these episodes will completely floor you the way these fight animations have. They will break your heart to the point of crying, make you laugh hysterically to where its painful, and brim you with hope like none other. Watch the series, it may take some time to catch up. But if you like this part of One Piece now, then you will not be disappointed. Enjoy.

I went back to the start like 2 weeks ago and I'm in skypia again and I'm just gonna say that it's not what we are at now but the stroy and the characters hit different but Stull strong. Like alabasta was straight 🔥👌💯 and skypia is still as goated as I remember. One piece was at first about some kids who went out to fulfill their dreams willy nilly, then it evolved into those kids growing up and fighting for their dreams no matter what. Yeah yup kaido is really really strong. Took luffy at least 3 tries to even come this close. Plus kaido was fighting the samurai first, then he fought zoro, luffy and some other guys from luffys generation at the same time. He has taken a lot of damage, and can still keep going. Just like luffy, he is a mythical zoan type, plus his lineage factor plays a role in his endurance and dura. A true monster.

There's some moments I can't WAIT for y'all to see. Luffy is that guy that ALWAYS got you. If you one of his people? Say less. World gon burn before he let's somebody touch you. This fight has the cinematics, but the entire series is built on this level of heart, and I can't wait for you two to jump in and get to witness it. Even back in the 90's/00's, the art style obviously wasn't crazy like this, but the story ALWAYS hit and Luffy's been just like this the whole time.
