the first appearance of kuma in one piece was strange. You see him in Marie Jois, with doflamingo. At first i was thinking "who the hell is this guy ?" "What's wrong with his character design ?" Then you see him in Thriller bark, and at this very moment, when he touch perona and make her disappear, you understand that this guy is gonna be one of the strongest guys in One piece, a frickin beast with a power that can destroy an entire island. Terrifying.

I hope he can be rescued somehow... i would love to know his backstory... for know, i just know he was or is king of some country... and a warlord. And he has morals, somehow.

When I first watched the thriller bark arc, the scene this played in gave me goosebumps. This theme is honestly amazing and sooo spooky especially when the beat drops and it gets all hardcore

Spoilers: Thriller Bark was perfect. The arc already is perfect with it's horror thematic and atmosphere, but there is a whole lot more. They barely defeated Moria one of the seven Warlords, and all of them were entirely exhausted. Victory felt achieved, another enemy done and thus marking the continuation of the journey and a new destination in sight. Then all of a sudden this weird man appears out of nowhere, demonstrating his dominance and presence when he was responsible for the disappearance of Perona. Unknown how he just achieved that. For sure a shocking moment which should continue further on. The Strawhats had their most unlucky day, whenever this man appeared. He achieved what very few did, which is crushing the Protagonists like nothing. Not only that, but he also is the sole catalyst for the character development of them and ever lasting change in the whole story which resulted in perhaps the biggest turning point in the story - the timeskip. They were doomed from the moment he set his foot on the Thriller Bark, acting in the name of the World Government. Finally, everything had it's Peak at Sabaody. It's ironic that this pirate is the worst enemy and at the same time their guardian. Kuma is without a doubt one of One Piece finest characters. His theoretic background will be very interesting in time, having ties to Luffy's Father.

Doflamingo shakes in his boots at the sound of "Kai-", don't put him on a pedestal. Kuma in the past was a close Commander of The Revolutionary Dragon, he has a far more prestigious position. Not to mention the power to repel anything and discharge pain. Doflamingo really doesn't compare to him.

Kuma is not Admiral level. Of all the Warlords Mihawk is the only one who can make a case for himself being equal or superior to one. The purpose of Warlords is to bridge the gap between an Admiral and Vice Admiral which is fucking huge. This is what allows the balance to co-exist.
