@@ErebusValentine it's not a Japanese thing. Bart Simpson was voiced by a woman, just to name one very obvious and mainstream American example. Having women voice boys' roles is pretty standard practice... that way they don't have to deal with the inevitability of puberty.

@TheMonster223 Nah, the thing was... Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy) introduced herself as Zoro, Kazuya Nakai introduced himself as Usopp, Usopp's seiyuu introduced himself as Luffy lol. So that's why Sanji's voice actor went like: wait what? Things are kinda mixed up? So they went on, that's why Sanji imitated Nami (very crappily, that's why he laughed. XD) then Nami's voice actor did Chopper and for Chopper's voice the only thing left to do was Sanji and Sanji is a chain smoker so.. yah logical gesture.
