HBO had a whole separate series of behind the scenes for House of the Dragon, which was as long as the actual season and I loved every second of it. One Piece could do something similar and show deep dives into the thought processes, set design, costumes, props, etc. There is so much details in the world building and behind the scenes work that deserves it's own focus. The fantastical world of one piece characters and pacing of an eventually 30+ year running anime will never lend itself to the format. But that said, I’m happy that Oda has a voice. And he is steering, whatever compromises Oda makes, at least its faithful to his product/vision - and as a fan, I support Oda and the chance to bring in a new audience. I’m hype about the new anime/remake though, that’s where legends are going to be made.

This reminds me of the behind the scenes stuff on Lord of the Rings and the insane dedication they had for their work 😭 You can really feel all the love that is going into this adaptation, it's like it has inherited that spirit ❤

Its actually amazing how well they chose Buggys actor so he can actually match the hype people have for him from manga/anime (not me tho) - I think casting is one of the reasons why this show was so good in season 1, hope it continues well
