Imagine a full open world open sea game with the full Grand Line islands (and some new original ones). My main gripe with this game is that it feels like someone modded One Piece characters into a western Fantasy setting game. I want to see the wacky hugely themed islands that One Piece is known for. Each island is memorable because of it.

Only Luffy is playable, and the gameplay is horrible. It feels like you're playing a turned based game sometimes, the ennemies are stunned when you hit them, you're stunned when they hit you. Story is meh, side quests are really generic and boring

J'espère que au moins à la fin du manga on aura enfin droit à un jeu de qualité pour one piece. Un mélange entre wind waker (la navigation et la notion de voyage), breath of the wild (la liberté d'action, la physique et les énigmes basées sur des capacités spéciales), skyrim (les quêtes, les secrets et le lore) et dark souls (pour les combats dynamiques) ça serait fou. Y a tellement de potentiel et de matières, comment ça se fait qu'on a droit qu'a des bots qui bougent même pas, des combats ennuyeux, des plaines sans vie ou du loot inutile

For years I've wanted a make your own one piece journey rpg. Make a character. Recruit a crew, you can go any way you want make any adventure you want. Take luffys path or build your own visiting islands you want.. Even discover devil fruits and decide if you want one or to give them to members of your crew. You can choose to be a brawler, a swordsman, a sniper, any method in the one piece universe. Yeah its mostly improbable now but who know maybe one day we can get a great OP game

But this game actually gives exploration and and the feeling of having to adapt just like Luffy does in the series. It dynasty warriors gets boring quick because of how stale the games are. @phemsee6838 you would be correct accept one piece is and particularly the main character is all about exploration and adventure. Something that none of the other one piece games captured. You might as well take yu gi oh and turn it in to a beat em up style game. Sure it can be fun, but then it wouldn't really have the main goal in mind which is deck building and card strategy. It feels less like an original game and more like a clone. Look at how many anime games they turn in to team and 1v1 fighting games when there is more to the show than that. Most every naruto game is just spamming counter and and trying to hit back. Same thing with the demon slayer games and even jjba has the same 1v1 fighter game. Their all fun but there can be more to them than just being 1v1.

It annoys me to no end that all anime gamers want is for ArcSys to make a FighterZ clone for their favourite Shounen. But I kinda hope we go towards more genre freedom, ya know. I wanna be a place where we can go "Hell yeah! We have a great One Piece Open World RPG, and Pirate Warriors is great fun too plus Burning Blood?!". It's why I'm more forgiving towards things like DBZ The Breakers or MHA Ultra Rumble. Not the genres you'd expect their franchises to go, but still neat concepts worth exploring. I do think we should get a great exploration based RPG where Luffy's abilities are really tested. But if someone was like "Hey what if we made a One Piece BR where you increase your bounty by taking out other players" or something I'd love a world where we have both.
