According to the recent progress in the construction of the Rathua Haryam Bridge, the one-and-a-half-year-long efforts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq have broken the deadlock on the construction of the bridge, and the rumors of the opponents have died down.
Earlier, in September 2024, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) had increased the cost of the 2.975-km long Rathua Haryam Bridge to Rs 10 billion.
Moreover, the Azad Kashmir government has approved a loan scheme for skilled youth and funds for local government representatives, which will help in the development of the area.
These steps show that the government is serious about the completion of the bridge and the pace of work on the project is accelerating.
