@@bboychopsuey1 Wasn't a budget cut. The first season was a passion project, done by incredibly talented animators, who wanted to animate OPM. Season 2 was done by a standard studio, as those previous animators went off to work on other projects.

I’m so happy to see more reactions to One Punch Man. It’s such a great series so I love seeing reactions to it ^^ In case you two didn’t notice, when Saitama defeated Mosquito Girl with his slap, he split the ground and the clouds from the force behind it.

Btw just few months ago, there was a case on my country at certain region where mosquitos was sucked dry a cow to death and caused lot diseases to ppl It almost looks like that dead cow where Genos first appeared

In the beginning, when Saitama was trying to hit the mosquito, they were just trying to poke fun at how you try to hit a flying insect and it keeps avoiding getting hit over and over. It was a method of humanizing Saitama despite the fact that he has unlimited strength.

Two mosquitos survived. If you re-watch the scene, youll see a team rocket style sparkle in the sky next to the building when saitama slaps mosquito girl. Only her tail hit the building. Mosquito Girl will be blasting off again(based on that scene).

The theory I like most is that the reason Saitama couldn't kill that mosquito at that start, was because of air currents. By hitting so fast, he created thick air currents that simply blew the mosquito away.

I personally believe that mosquito was special. It completely ignored Mosquito Girl's commands, and went off to do its own thing.
