In this episode of Reactions on the Rocks...where we have a drink and watch a fun show...we are reviewing and discussing One Punch Man Season 2 Episode 3 "The Hunt Begins". Garou attacks the S-rank hero Tank top Master, his followers, and Mumen Rider. Garou continues his pursuit of attacking heroes. Saitama buys a wig to join a martial arts tournament after having a brief exchange with Garou.

If they bring someone in that's his equal or greater they would be dismantling the entire premise of the show. Saitama isn't the main character. He's the locomotive carrying everyone else. The secondary characters as a whole are the main character. At least that's my interpretation.

Even though Saitama's punch is super awesome, his durability is absolutely insane, like even from the final fight of last episode, an attack that would vapourise organic matter, didn't do jack to Saitama. I don't think Saitama is human anymore, and I don't think anyone can match his defence like what u said at the end.

I'd like to point out that even though Garou beat TTM, it's not certain that he's actually at TTM's level atm. But it's just that Garous style is extremely effective against human melee opponents since it's martial arts. Which is why he seemed to struggle with spring mustachio and golden ball as much as with TTM, because they use weapons.

Not sure about that. He never uses Fist of Flowing Water against Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio. So I think it's fair to say TTM was the harder opponent for him, as he is losing badly to TTM before he brings out Fist of Flowing Water, which he then pummeled TTM with.

Do we know he doesn't use it though? I seem to remember those signature streams being on his hands when catching/deflecting the bullets, though I might be misremembering.

SLIGHT Spoiler, but nothing major. Garou has the ability to "Learn" his enemies fighting abilities/skills. So he can "Grow" pretty quickly. So I guess he's saying "I'll be unbeatable in 6 months." Hello guys, greetings from brazil! One thing I'd like to point out is that ONE (the author) made this as a hero parody and lots of heros are a direct reference to some pop culture hero show/anime/comic. Like there's the Tank Tops who are a group like power rangers without the coolant and plastic helmets, and for me the best reference is Mumen Rider whose concept is literally the Black Kamen Rider without his bike, which he doesn't have because he didn't get his License to Drive. But as he is the most useless hero in combat we see, he is probably the most heroic person and the closest we get to the concept of a truly benevolent hero, that shows sincere desire to save others, in complete contrast with Saitama who is unmatched in power but lacks the Drive and ideal of a means being a hero.

Just to clarify, Garou didn't avoid using this technique to keep it challenging or to hide his power or anything like that. He didn't use it because he hates his former master and by extension the technique he learned from him. But Tank Top Master was just too much to beat without it.

It's like y'all not paying attention to what you're watching. Saitama is wearing the hair to become the guy who was going to enter the tournament but garuo put him into the hospital. Garou already said he isn't working for anyone but himself. Japanese anime superhero names are quite a bit funny but you guys seems to go overboard with the full blown laughing at the names. Spoilers for the webcomic: gauro is not the unstoppable god level threat which was predicted to happen within the 6 month time span from his hero hunting to becoming awakened takes place over a couple of days at most which eventually leads to a fight with saitama which he does better against than webcomic boros

Garou sweating upwards is probably cuz he got hit so hard in his shoulder and we've seen saitama stop rain from his punches so im really not surprised and before saitama chopped him he probably felt the reverb from his chop which shook his body i might be on to something

About gorou gorou will become god rank in 6 months it's in the manga so gorou won't be able to die he will regenerate thares this giant got of villains later in seasons where they destroy earth and only geno's and metal knight and tiger girl survive metal knight and geno's survive because thare robots so saitama fights the god but the god keeps regenerating so saitama uses seriouse upper cut but doesn't work on the god but remember it's a god so he rewinds saitama to before he was so strong and had hair so saitama weak but saitama says speed is everything then goes running faster then light making him into his strong state that's all I know from the manga but thare are 2 more gods saitama has to fight the 3rd is super strong and a challenge to saitama I'm exited

Garou didn't kill any heroes this episode. In the previous episode, he only killed the criminals, but he did remove the arm of one hero. I'm not sure if he killed the other hero there.
