The arc that season 2 started and the arc that season 3 will cover is (The Monster Association Arc) very long, like the arc ended fairly recently in the manga. So it’s safe to say that the conclusion of the arc in the anime won’t happen until like season 4 or season 5 at the latest, assuming that these seasons will still only have 12 episodes per.

OPM season 2 came out on April 2019. Season 1: 12 episodes and 7 OVAS Season 2: 12 episodes and 6 OVAS The OVAS are not vital for the plot, but I can say those are worth it. Anime only have NO idea how amazing Season 3 and Season 4 will be if they follow the Manga.

OVA are part of the story must watch if you dont want to miss some important information like , from what i remember the way you should watch is like 2 episodes and then one OVA to have all story in line except with saitama suit OVA it can be fitted anywhere as he was just telling story to genos

Story wise, the S2 OVA isn't worth watching before S3. It's still pretty interesting though so might still keep that in mind!
