Hi Sus. Coincidently a Firehouse just opened here and it's on my list of video taste tests. I've heard a lot of good things about it so am anxious to give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion and for commenting. You stay well too!

Never listened to me before, still not listening to me now. You're talking to 31 milliion Canadians. California alone has 38 million. You are video over editing and I know where that comes from, you see people talking FAST and fact-full on a short, so if it works for them with the short attention span, it must be the right format right -- it must work for you too. You have 849 subscribers. If you keep copying others - it is not a recipe for success. Build your own following. You keep focusing on video editing like it matters. What matters is personality and love for the youtuber which can't be duplicated by video edits. You'll eventually learn that... In the mean time, just keep reduplicating what you see works -- and you will find you copying YT channel MASHED is a yesterday viral thing - people are tired of MASHED - and here you go trying to copy MASHED now. Good luck on that. Just be you.

Thank you for you feedback. As always, it's greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if we've had this discussion before, but I'm not on YT for fame and fortune--well, not for fame anyway. Just the opposite. When I first decided to launch a channel I recruited some people to be the on-camera talent, and I was going to be the producer. Turns out if you're not going to pay people they usually (and understandably) have other things to do. So that left me with only one option, I'd have to do it myself, even knowing, the last thing in the world I wanted was for people to be looking at me. To make me feel more comfortable with it I realized if I gave them something else to look at they wouldn't be entirely focused on me. So that's the real reason for the numerous edits and clip art pop ups and in general, distractions. I should also mention, Cesar insists on sitting next to me when I'm on the recording from the couch. I'm not exploiting him as a distraction he does that all on his own. Maybe he somehow knows I need the support 😅. There you have it. The reason for the style (I use that term loosely) of my channel is not to copy someone else, it's to keep my mug off the screen for a long as possible. In actuality, the videos where I'm never (or barely) seen-like this one- are much more work than videos where I'm on camera talking, but for me, (and I'm sure many others) those are too painful to watch. Again, thank you for your feedback. I actually don't get much from others, so your advice on how to improve this channel is always appreciated.

@@NeilDeal2023 KZbin isn't defined, it's a growing organism, much like a weed. Too often people think "what worked for others 2 years ago, surely should work for me today" -- nope. They get hundreds of thousands of uploads a day. What worked in the past might change tomorrow. The only secret, is to be unique, just keep being you, and stop following the fluff of inserts in audio, video, and clips into your video timeline. The one thing people can't duplicate is YOU. So capitalize on it. You might not get instant viewers, but what youtube watches is length of play, repeat play, whether they subscribe, thumbs up, or comment - it's like the golden buzzer on America has talent when people do that. Just slowly build a following and stop trying to reverse engineer what you think YT likes
