Whytechyck It was such a strange blend too. I have memories of my grandpa reading the paper at breakfast when visiting them yet the Internet still existed. I had video games yet I’d go to my friends and jump on trampolines, scooter, climb tree’s, heeley, and draw with chalk on the sidewalk. I have memories of watching Blockbuster transition from VHS to DVD to death. I saw what used to be a 20 pound piece of hardware on a desk turn into something that could sit on my lap to something I could fit in my purse. I have memories of using landlines and eventually a flip phone and now a touch screen. What a wonderful, special and unique experience I had. And I’m blessed to have been a part of the generation that had a blissful balance.

something 90s kids will remember, we didnt have smart phones, lucky to have a computer or even internet, this show ate up our morning, then friends in the afternoon. we didnt have ipods, ipads, or laptops, we had something called out doors. those days are sadly over, kids now at 6 years old dont even know half of what we grew up with. they dont know what a floppy disk is, they dont know what dial up is, they dont know how cool you were if you had a n64, they have to have iphones, ipads, laptops, anything expensive that keeps them inside all day instead of being outside and active. one reason why there are more and more kids overweight, because of all of the new tech out there. 90s rock hands down. proud be be a 90s kid! brings back so many memories!.

I agree with many things you said being a 90s child myself, but we were incredibly privileged as well. For example, we had tv and video games(arguably the best ones). I think technology is great but at the same time it can be bad. For example although I have a Facebook I feel it is one of the worst things to happen to society in a long time. Also please don't remind me of dial up that shit was terrible lol. I can remember the exact sound it made too.
@countrykid164010 жыл бұрын
Nathan Huff ***** haha yes that is true, we did have tv and video games but at the same time more kids were outside at the same time, and i couldnt agree more about the whole facebook thing, along with twitter, instagram, snapchat, and even good old youtube. dial up oh ya, we were in the middle of no where and our dial up wasnt really to bad back when web pages werent so big and loaded with spam and ads, then we got one of the verizon 3G modems and boy that changed everything. Verizon was the only provider with 3G service in my area. and it was fast as could be. so i agree i dont miss dial up at all nor the annoying sound at least we didnt use aol, we had earthlink. sucks that the days of unlimited internet from the wireless companies though is about gone, still with verizon for basic and now smartphones as well.

Monday morning, wake up time, Get to work and stand in line What would make you feel real fine? One Saturday Morning! Coming up next is Tuesday's grind The week is young, but I'm out of my mind What would make you feel real fine? One Saturday Morning! Wednesday, Thursday, jammed in the middle Once again, make you pose in a riddle What's strung real loose, but plays like a fiddle? One Saturday Morning!

Am I the only one who notices that the country started going massively downhill when we stopped getting our five hours of summer, once a week? :( This truly was illuminating television.
@thankyouverymuch2 жыл бұрын
It only seems that way because you were too young to understand what was happening in the world. Every generation has a time when they feel like things started "going downhill", based on their age and their own values.

I woke up every Saturday morning in 1998-2002 especially when i was 3-4 years old to watch One Saturday Morning! Watching those cartoons were great ways to start the weekend! I would then play outside with my friends or do the programs i was in, or we would go driving, out to eat, do something recreational, etc. On Sundays my grandpa came over and brought bagels, and I would spend a day with him.
