Just wanna chime in, I played ff1-6 for the first time this year and they absolutely hold up.

man the effort of editing down these streams must be massive. The game doesn't really lend itself to Joe's streams. No funny dialogue, no incredible bugs that let you skip half the story, it's just a drag. Starfield streams were kinda similar, but those had the classic Bethesda jank. Hope the game gets better.

ok ive watched all the video now lol and i have some thoughts on the game: why is there a 5 year timeskip i dont understand the point of it. "we have a new hideout and youre cid now yayyy" ok why didnt WE get to do that and have the side quests revolve around establishing the new hideout and ourselves as dread pirate roberts? has anythiign else changed in the 5 years i cant tell honestly. like wed have much more interest in the sidequests AND the hideaway if they were directly tied to eachother i think, its supposed to be like a main hub itd be cool to see it develop and change based on player action rather than just being There now and u dont have to work for it at all. itd really put u in the shoes of cid if u had to build it all back up again from scratch and make his title feel earned. i dont believe its been 5 years i believe they intended it to be like a week but thought 5 years would be cooler. idkk man . ty nodja for the stream uploads i

In general, if nothing of great interest happens in a story you shouldn't dwell on it. Establishing the new hideout never seemed like a particularly interesting time.

@@Avengedtenfold yeah im mostly disappointed with the squandered potential. its a shame that the hub location is as uninteresting as it is. it was never an interesting time because they didnt make it interesting, even though they present it as being as such. idk its just strange choices all round imo
