its just what you preffer and what your best at, AD Katarina scales shit into late game compared to AP Katarina. if you got AP You tend to take electrocute. You trade in quick bursts by procing your electrocute then you E out to safety. Your damage comes from Qs and picking up daggers. AD You tend to take Conqueror which you need to stack before it starts doing big numbers. You will stay in combat longer as you damage ramps up the longer your fight. Your Auto attacks hit much harder so you must make sure you are always weaving in auto attacks while you trade as Q and dagger pickup do less damage.

Conq if enemy comp is kinda tanky and that cant be oneshotted and elec is enemy comp is soft (what i do). For build, honestly just go for what ur confortable at im 900k kata and i never want to go ad build as i hate it and not my playstyle.
