You mentioned you don't know how armor works so a quick guide: every 1 resistance (armor or magic resist) is equivalent to 1% more effective health against that damage type. This never drops in value, but the relative value, similar to buying 150 health when you have 1500 hp(10% more), versus 4000 hp(3.75% more), will diminish. This means 1000 health and 100 armor is equivalent to 2000 health against AD, 1000 health and 150 armor is like 2500 health, etc. This is why late game tanks, like Ornn, can end up seemingly taking almost no damage. When they have 40k+ effective health (7k health and 500 armor = 42k effective health, for example), your 3k damage combo is not going to look good on that health bar. since you had 4k health and 121 armor, you had ~8.84k effective health, increased to ~12.74k when you bought Randuin's, you gained almost 50% more durability against physical damage Ability haste also works in a similar way, where every point is = 1% more casts per second, so 100 ability haste is twice as fast, 200 is 3 times as fast, etc.

@@lunaw2174I may be wrong but doesnt armor and haste scale with cap tresholds ? Like 100 armor is 70% dmg reduction (im saying random amounts) and 150 is 75%. I think its not lineal is what i mean

The damage reduction is always equivalent to having 1% more health for the enemy to chew through, and ability haste is always 1% faster cooldowns(not reduced, as 100% faster means twice, 100% reduction means instant refresh) 100 resistance or AH = 50% reduction = 2x more durability/spells per second 200 resistance or ability haste is 66% reduction, equivalent to 3x 300 is equal to 75% or 4x 400 is 80% or 5x people get confused because the percentages are smaller and smaller, but when you're already taking half damage or casting twice as fast, halving it again means half of half, or 25% instead of 50% and add that together, you have 75% If you want the specifics, the math behind the scenes is: Damage * 100 / (100 + armor) This also means that, theoretically, if you had 99 negative armor, you would take 100x damage, and if you had 200 negative armor, damage would heal you for 100% instead. But armor is never able to go below 0, there's a hard cap

@@lunaw2174 lovly thanks for explaining it so clear. And god i love numbers xddd Ah and the only thing i wanted to say is that armor and mr can acually drop below 0 with certain abilities such as trundle r (cause it interacts weird with the cap cause of the spaguetti code)
