@@Tiax776 I mean sometimes it's bad beats but that's constructed, and tbh the deck isn't that ridiculous some discard or artifact hate and the deck folds. I mean their is a clear difference between the good hands and the bad hands. I honestly feel rakdos which is arguably the best deck in the meta would be able to best this with the right sideboarding.

@@Tiax776 I don't think there's a single line with this deck that (effectively) wins on turn 3. Greasefang is a lot worse by that standard, because it's not hard at all for that deck to deal 13 on turn 3 and have two 4/4 flyers in play, and it can even play Thoughtseize on turn one while UW Colossus has almost no interaction maindeck.

This is a deck with so much space to brew. You can go the karn, Great creator route, You can go the jegantha companion way, etc... This needs to be tested more!

@@MTGGoldfish I am gonna test a jegantha version, playing some silver bullets like Merchant´s Dockhand, Witch oven, Lion Sash and alike (crane and ingenious smith can search those). Evens lands like Blighted cataract, Darksteel citadel and crawling barrens seems like good tools. Thanks for the reply ;)

Hi Seth, there’s a list in pioneer I play a lot like this, but Instrad of things like alchemists vial, 2 of the cranes, and the haunted cloak i Ryun parhelion and anchor to reality. Turn 3/4 parhelion is nasty as greasefang has shown, but now with an additional 10/10. Anchor can also get the equipment

Sweet deck, it's kind of like hammer time and affinity had a baby. 😁Also, It seems like this deck is possible to build in Explorer too. We only lose some of the equipment that gives evasion which there might be replacements for.

@@mordy1075 not sure how good that is to be honest. It's only one cost up front. It really doesn't reduce the cost that much and wouldn't be a meaningful curve change. Likely worth testing but I doubt it would be that helpful.

I'm curious why you didn't cast the Portable Hole at 11:15? Wouldn't it have been a good idea to get rid of their Portable Hole, since then they'd need two pieces of removal to knock you off the mana necessary to play your free 10/10? EDIT: I'm an idiot - Moonsnare Prototype only makes colorless mana, so Seth didn't have the W to cast Portable Hole. Apparently reading the card explains the card - who knew? EDIT EDIT: I'm also amused that EVERY deck you ran into this time around was some flavor of red - RW, BR, UR, R, and BR.

Saw this and was like is there not a affinity card in pioneer thats card draw and there is and its budget. Reality heist is in the colors but I do think the mana base would need to beable to hit double blue which would change the mana base but it seems pretty legit. It would help find the Iron giant when you need him or the brass knuckles.

That's a fun interaction, but it doesn't really synergize with anything else in the deck or draw cards to dig - it's only good if you're already winning or in the very awkward circumstance of having to beat removal while only having exactly enough artifacts to recast it. I guess if you're really concerned about opponents exiling the colossus then it's decent.

It's just adding Hengegate Pathways and Hallowed Fountains to replace some of the worse lands. Edit: The non-budget versions also seem to run Prophetic Prism over the Alchemist's Vials - the card doesn't cost a ton, but it does make the mana a lot smoother. The biggest and most expensive change outside of the landbase is Unlicensed Hearse in the sideboard to keep the graveyard slimmed down against UR while still providing the surgical hits for decks like Greasefang. It's an expensive but very worthwhile change.

Maybe use yorion, with the increased deck size you can play more lands, so maybe use snow lands, then you can put astrolabium because is both an artifact and a draw, you can also try using marit lage as a way to scry and to have a second win condition just in case the colossus doesn't do it. I'm just saying generic stuff I don't know modern enough to have an idea of artifacts with the same function but better costs.

Yeah, The Celestus would be solid in the deck. Mana rocks are really good with Colossus and The Celestus is especially nice thanks to the looting ability. Not sure what to cut to make room though.
