Was there a reason that I'm missing why he kept using the list first when he had the attack token? Doesn't just attacking with renekton and pulling a vulnerable unit accomplish the same thing without showing his hand as much? Like in the game where he got quicksanded, had he just attacked he could've used the list on the opponent's turn and dealt some damage, and then got in the next attack like he did

Its an otk, he use the list at the same moment he had the attack token to stack the stat buff renekton has. And why he always uses the list first is because so that renektom can level up and stack the buffs more consistently for extra damage, his lvl 1 requires renekton to challenge an enemy while lvl 2 just require a normal attack without challenging nobody

@@NDRA.P you might want to read the comment you are replying to again. they specifically stated, that he had the choice of either attacking and pulling a "VULNERABLE" unit (hence giving unleveled Renekton his attack buff) instead of using the list, which accomplishes the exact same thing technically but shows his opponent his hand.

The List's free attack only works while there is a Vulnerable unit on board, which means if he does a normal attack while pulling the Vulnerable unit first, he won't be able to use The List's free attack afterwards without needing to cast more spells to give more enemies Vulnerable. As you can see at the end of Game 3, he didn't have any mana left to give more enemies Vulnerable, so it was better to get his free attacks in before spending his attack token to challenge an enemy.

​@@NekoBatyx ​OP mentioned that they understood why he does it when there's only one vulnerable unit, but when there's more than one it made more sense to swing with the attack token first, pulling one of the vulnerable units, then using the list on one of the remaining ones. The fact that he kept using the list first everytime regardless of the situation is actually a huge reason he lost game 5. He essentially wasted his list when he didn't have to causing the exhaust to blow him out.
