Whip is pretty much the most awesome thing for quick instant bombs, any time a heavy or pyro is being or about to be ubered please break out the whip whenever possible, and follow through pushing in with them, they have sustain you have burst dps and it essentially can turn an otherwise mediocre uber into full team wipes, and when playing pyro I always listen for that noise because pyro is heavily balanced to not have a scout's base speed, a modestly buffed pyro with whip boost can mean sacking multiple and a med pick causing a defending team to crumble.

I really like the disciplinary action cause speed is enjoyable but I think it’s funny because it’s got a damage penalty which means they don’t want you to hit people with it but that doesn’t really seem to matter when I use the thing because the ridiculous range on it and if I need help to catch up to the dude I can just whip a teammate that’s either coming to kill them as well or just someone passing by the place, plus it seems to crit all over the place so the damage penalty doesn’t even matter half the time. It’s also really funny because I’ve killed so many spies just because I want speed up myself and the teammate and it was not intentional and I didn’t even know they were a spy..

Unfortunately there's no cool sound effect when you're trying to heal someone with a med gun, but can't reach. When I play medic I always want to use a scout as a taxi, but people often run away before I can connect the beam.

what i do is just use the "Help!" voice-line when i'm trying to whip someone, eventually over the game people will let me whip them when i call for help. (meanwhile you're calling your teammates dumb because they don't hear a tiny sound effect that they aren't trained to listen for)

Here's some more tips regarding the disciplinary action: 1. *STOP FUCKING WHIPPING FRIENDLY SNIPERS.* Yes I'm bold capsing this because this really screws up snipers. It fucks up the movement, both scoped and unscoped. Unless it's pregame and you're running to the front lines, or in some other situation(such as initial roll-out in 5cp/koth) where there's zero chance of encountering an enemy. But actively thinking about this requires braincells. It's easier to just cross snipers from your whipping list permanently. 2. Not everyone plays the game with sounds on, or at high enough volume to hear someone whipping the air behind them. So don't think teammates are staying out of the range out of malice or lack of knowledge. It's entirely possible they just didn't hear it.

I actually despise the whip, but that is due to me playing on a Laggy laptop and the fact my pc LAGS whenever someone gives me the speed boost and I ALWAYS without fail get shot😅 I may appreciate it more if it wasn’t for this one problem 😂
