@@mikebison9882 that's right but that dose not give me the right to discriminate unlike some Irish do and you your self and other people in Europe who discriminate the gypsies so I have nothing but love and respect for them they have a unique culture and a language so different from the Irish them selfs put your self in there shoes how it is to be live a life being picked on and looked down upon because your different grow up mate really.
@heyyall93785 ай бұрын
@@brandoncostello5565Exactly. In Australia and America, people are not such self-righteous snobs and don't discriminate so much. One of my biological grandfathers was a tinsmith from the Scottish highlands. I'm not sure, but I suspect that side of my family may have been travellers. Whether they were or not, I know for certain they were poor a/f. Even though he died of TB soon after arriving in the US, I think coming to America was the best decision he ever made.

My family emigrated to Ireland after suffering heavy persecution and then when the potatoe famine hit escaped on the coffin ships to the America’s. The only traditional thing that remained was renaming the children after the father. I went back to visit and was told never to use my biological name. I want to learn more about my traditions, language, and people. I feel so disconnected from my people. But even now I’m the “mom” to the travellers here. I am the last stop to get a drink, warm meal, clean socks, and a warm shower. Is there anyway you could help me become reconnected with our traditions?
