One Step Away - 2023 Backyard Pyromusical (Including setup pics and vids)

Perhaps the best executed show yet !!!!
Here is our 2023 Pyromusical from the 4th of July. We were glad to have family, fiends, and the fire department over to enjoy it.
I think we had a good selection of music and product but ended in a fantastic patriotic fashion.

This was scripted in PyroIgnitionControl and fired (Pyro and DMX) by fireTEK. Both fireTEK FTH-48Fx and newer FTQ-16x64 modules were used side-by-side. The show was controlled with the new FTQ-99Sx and Audio was provided with the fireTEK Music Sync Box.
Due to the dry weather, we did have various 15 second pauses between some of the segments to check for fires. During those pauses, we would pause the fireTEK system to check behind the trees for fires - there were no fires. Those pauses have been edited out of this video.

Another amazing show as always!! I really like the effect at the start with the fire machines coming from both sides in and then hitting a slice … very cool idea. I may just have to borrow that

Great show! I can only imagine how amazing the nishiki shots looked in person during Golden Hour. They don't show up well in video, but in person, OMG!

Thanks! Yeah, nishiki are difficult to capture on camera. Something to work on - need to find those right camera settings.

I just got around to watching this. Ken, I always love your displays! Well vetted and edited music with good variety and excellent pyro choreography! I also loved your patriotic interlude. All good stuff, brother!

Very well done. Scripting and product on point. Sounds like the crowd appreciated it. I looked at your set up and have one suggestion that may help slightly on your angle single shots. I always put the noodle on the bottom side of the angle so the comet/mine body top side rests on the metal tube. The device has a tendency to want to move to the vertical position when it fires with the physics involved so if it is against the foam it can move a small amount and come out at a slightly different angle. I noticed that sometimes in some of my early shows. Didn't really see a big problem in yours but just something for the future perhaps. Really good stuff though!

After I had seen you talking about that a few years back I ended up building my own like the ones that Big Time Pyro sales and now have 7 50 count racks. Not really seeing any movement with his. Maybe have to PM on PT to find out what racks his using?

Thanks for the comment and the suggestion - the foam placement suggestion totally makes sense. I do need to work on the camera a bit. I film it all with gopros and Super View and then post process the fisheye out as much as possible, but it still ends to pull all the high comets into the center. Another items on my list to work on this year.

@charleswdii, I'm using the Craigco. racks. There are pictures and videos at the end. There is no zipties, but you have to use foam or something to fill the gaps of the smaller product.

Dude, this is an amazingly well done show. This is how I want my shows to look. Do you happen to have a list of the shells and mines, etc... that you used in the show. I'm trying to play out my show for next 4th and it would be extremely helpful to know what type of things you were using here. I'm using a bilscone system so everything is pushing buttons, but we had a nice little display on labor day for the family. thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the great comment. As for the single shots - those are pretty straight forward ; e.g., white glitter comet, gold comet, yellow slice, etc. As for consumer items, the end of the video shows most of the product. I used a lot of Nishiki Weapons of Warfare canisters from Pyroland and their Love Potion No.9 NOAB. I had Winda Silent Power a few times. I like strobing effects so I had lots of the Dominator Mammoth Strobes through a number of the segments - all picked up from Fireworks Forever. And in the 3rd Segment I used tons of the Opps All Cherries ball shells from Pyroland. And most of the canisters in the last segment were Red, White, and Blue 5in from Dominator.
