How nice to see a fine grain print, with the original commercials! Late '50s and early '60s commercials were the best; instead of giving you eye fatigue and a headache, they actually told you about the product. What a concept!

Alcoa was and is owned by the Pitcairn family. They also built the towns surrounding Warrington, and also the air craft base there in Willow Grove was built for their private planes and their research and development buildings for inventing lightweight aircrafts made of aluminum. Later the government acquired their ideas and the airfield became an official US airforce base.

The first rich victim had worn the deadly necklace many times at dinners and parties, and it had given her boy toy lover and husband great pleasure to hook it around her neck, before it had a change of heart and decided to become a strangler. I think the necklace decided it's deadly path after witnessing it's owner disrespect and belittling of others. This should be a lesson to everyone, get rid of hatred and practice more respect. Today it's a necklace, tomorrow the traffic light could turn against you.

Real music soundtrack's and terriffic writng that complement the shows. Reality tv sucks i find myself watching all the old classics all the time. Sadly tvs golden era ehen everyone competed for 4 to 6 stations sponsering. Not 200 channels of paid advertising, 5 to 8 minute commercial breaks and minimal quality programming. Miss those days.

It's interesting to see the host get involved in the story. I can't recall Rod Sterling doing that. But then, did he ever act?
@johanna56882 жыл бұрын
Rod Serling did introduce his audience to the T.Zone stories and also with Night Gallery. The Twilight Zone stories were the best & so popular. Rod was a great writer. A writer doesn't need to be an actor.
@fromthesidelines Жыл бұрын
Occasionally, John would set the scene for the story by talking to one of the principals involved, which would then unfold as a flashback {as in "Vanishing Point"}.
@fromthesidelines Жыл бұрын
The only time Rod was actually a part of a story was at the end of "A World of His Own", where he appears to assure the audience that the idea of creating someone from a description on a tape recorder was "ridiculous nonsense". Keenan Wynn (as "Gregory West") disputes him, pulling an envelope out of his wall safe with Rod's name on it, taking out a strand of tape, and throws it into the blazing fireplace. "Well, that's the way it goes", Rod shrugs, as he vanishes, too.
