@Amy P: The 1950s were a Golden Age for producing and nurturing cuteness in little girls: all the benefits of a post WW2 first generation prosperous society (stable family structures, upward mobility, disposable income, health and nutrition advances, self-reliant morality, etc). The second generation of the1960s put paid to all of that . . . and it's never recovered.

I defy you to find a bank, here in the early 21st century, that still has an armed Security Guard, walking around, inside. These days, if somebody bothered to do an "in person" bank robbery, the bank manager would probably ask the Armed Robbers if they wanted a Free Toaster, too!

The paranormal does exist. In 1988 I experienced in my bedroom a hat given to me by a friend who worked in the day shift. A month later in the morning I heard a sound between the wall and my bed. It was the hat spinning around in that space. I had placed that hat on a hat rack that was over the bed. I lived2 blocks from the cemetery at the time.Tat style of hat was popular in1959 1965. The cemetery had tombstones from that time. Other events I will write latee.

My best friend died from a Xanax overdose. She was on my mind constantly, and of course I was obsessing endlessly, hoping she was at peace. One night I woke up and she was standing by my bed, wearing her over sized shades. She just looked at me and said," it's okay girl, it really is". After that, of course I still missed her, but I felt some resolution after that, and I think she wanted that.

And I believe you. I experienced a spinning table lamp about 20 years ago. It belonged to an elderly aunt who had died shortly before the incident. I was sitting in my living room when I heard a scraping sound. I let my eyes travel the room to see if I could determine the source and there was the lamp, turning in circles as the cord wrapped around its base!! I immediately called my brother as he was the one who had first taken the lamp and then given it to me. No amount of turning that lamp in a circle would cause it to make a scraping sound...that is, until he leaned on the base as he turned it. I asked him to take it away, break it to pieces, and set it out with his trash.

We really need to teach ourselves how to act right in moments like these. The wife could've pushed the dying man away. He would still shoot but hit somewhere else as with him falling to the floor (maybe) should give time enough for the officer to take action. Promptitude is a need and should be trained in schools. 🤷🏻♀️ Most people would freeze like have their brains jammed when something out of the ordinary accidentally take place mostly resulting into sorry consequences if proper action was missed and that is a problem needing to be fixed. My sister once saved her classmate from getting her face bruised by punching away a ball which wrongly flew her way. She came back home glad of course for discovering the gift she's had. 😁 Me? I surprise myself sometimes... Sometimes.. ahem. 😑
