How to use the angle brush. This is a demo of the Cabbage Rose using the angle brush.
I promised to show everyone what the angle brush can do at the February Richmond VA Level 1 Certification, but ran out of time. By April Numamoto.

Painting is the one thing I never really got deep enough into and I've always regretted it. I love how fast you can create something compared to other mediums that require hours just to sketch and ink and color something in. This seems like it takes a very steady and trained hand too though. Oh well, I'm stuck on bed/couch rest so it looks like I'll be making a quick venture out to Michaels this week and stock up on some art supplies to keep me entertained lol

WOW!!! You are amazing! So talented, what a gift! And the best part is how you teach as you show what you're doing. You make it look and sound so simple. I have found Bob Ross on Netflix and been really thinking maybe I could do something but I doubt myself. I'm crafty but not what I would call artsy. I watched Bob Ross when I was a little girl too and thought maybe I could do this lol. But I think it's just how simple he makes it look and sound... but you made this look and sound as easy. Really effortless I think it's the right words maybe. You have inspired me all over again. I really truly want to try this. Thank you for posting and for teaching so well. You are so clear and descriptive on how to even hold the brush. I'm so thankful I took the chance and clicked your video. I am thoroughly enjoying your channel.

Thank you so much for your message. And I'm very happy that I've inspired you to give it a try. It will take some practice but I promise, it gets easier with every stroke. The supplies I'm using are not very expensive. You buy the supplies at a craft store, not a fine art store where it's expensive. I'm using acrylic paints which you can find at michael's and joann's. I'm only using about 5 colors and they are about $1.75 a bottle. Give it a try. Thank you for watching.

I'm so used to spending 50+ hours on hyperrealistic paintings and watching this was so satisfying. I mean seeing a realistic painting being done in so little time is so wonderful. I wish I could do it, but every time I try to do a quick style piece of art I spend too much time on it and it ends up more detailed than I had intended. I guess I'm just too much of a perfectionist.

This is by far the best beginner tutorial I've seen yet. I have been wanting to try the one stroke technique for quite some time and I just recently bought my paint and brushes so today I was looking for a good video tutorial and I ran across yours. Thanks so much, your flowers are beautiful too by the way!

Susie LaLonde thank you Susie for your comments. Let me know if you have any questions as you're practicing. It does take a little practice but once you learn the strokes, it is very simple. Thanks again.

+April Numamoto I admire people who are so artistic and patient. The artistic gift eluded me. ☺ I love the way the explained as well while you 're painting. Have you ever thought of doing transfer painting on paper for fabrics and sell them? It would make a piece of clothing look like art. I hate the genetic prints by machines. I'm not able to get to position the flowers where I want them. With your product I can iron it on wherever I want.

Wow, this is just so beautiful and informative. I don't paint and I'm definitely no artist, but this video makes me feel like I could create these beautiful pieces too 😃 And this may sound silly, but I really had no idea how much technique is involved in creating various effects in art. I took it for granted that artists are just ridiculously talented. Now I know that talent is only half the battle, practice really does it make it perfect.
