Hello, dear friends! Thank you for your support and for waiting for my new videos. At the moment I am still on sick leave, but I think I will soon be allowed back to work.
Today's video is about two fairly small fires.
The first call was in the suburbs, the distance to the incident was 20 kilometers from our base, almost the farthest point of our area of responsibility. The grass and the fence of a house were on fire, alarming the owners and their neighbors because of the potential to spread to nearby buildings. When we arrived, the main fire had been extinguished by the local residents, we only had to instruct the property owners keep the area around their property clean and tidy, to avoid the accumulation of dry grass and other combustible debris to prevent it happening again.
The second call we responded to that night involved two cars. The reason for the fire was not known at the time, but was probably arson. For the first time in my career the fire in the cars were burning for so long, despite the use of a foaming agent. Although in most cases it is not usually required, this time, while one car was extinguished instantly, the second one stubbornly resisted our efforts to put it out for a long time. There was apparently a gasoline leak under the car, so it unexpectedly took a lot of our time and effort to bring the fire under control. After several unsuccessful attempts to control the fire by using cheaper and easier means, it was decided to use a high power foam making appliance (GPS-600) to completely fill the car with foam from underneath, and from all sides.
If you're interested, here's another two similar "Foam Party" videos when we had to use foam when extinguishing fires. • Пожар на крыше. Подъем... Night fire on the roof of a 14-story building. • Тушили, чуть не потопи... Night fire in the port, firefighting in a confined space.
