I know this video is nine months old, but for some reason I never commented on it - this is one of the pieces in my main performance repertoire, and every single time I want to re-learn it and improve on it, I refer to your video. No other rendition of it on KZbin is as loaded with passion and thoughtfulness as yours; every single phrase is looked after, nothing is winged at all. It sings throughout, it stays in the realm of spirituality throughout. And it's absolutely beautiful

Wow, thank you so much for your amazing comment Daj, you're so kind! ;__; I'm honestly quite proud of this performance (and that rarelly happens to me), it's a very beautiful piece and playing it felt very emotionally draining (the feeling of transfering my own emotions to the piece). I'm so honored that you're coming back to this performance to use it as a reference, it means a lot! This is one of example of covers I'm proud of that don't receive that many views (Tonari no Totoro or Arrietty's song are other examples hehe), but I'm super okay with it if that means receiving great comments like yours! I'm not sure if I'll listen to this cover again though, I'm sure I'll find many mistakes and things I don't like that much, I normally don't listen to my own covers after uploading them haha

Nowadays I just click the thumbs up button before even listening to you play because I just know it's going to be good and I might as well. xD This was one of my favourite pieces as a kid.... I even wrote duet lyrics to it while I was still doing that kinda stuff. xD You played this so beautifully. There's so much space in this piece for the sadness to truly ring out and then it grows so very, very intense... and you've captured it all so perfectly. Thank you for this wonderful performance.
