Amit Tal was working at the Nova Music Festival near the Gaza border when Hamas terrorists attacked. At least 260 festival attendees and several of Amit’s friends were killed. Many more are missing. This is his story.

Amit, thank you for sharing your story, I'm so happy that you survived. I'm very sorry that you went through something so horrific! No one should ever have to go through something like that. The world as we know it changed that day. I'm so very sorry for all who were lost that day at the festival. When I see each of their beautiful faces my heart is deeply saddened, as I have nieces and nephews who are your age and the age of most all of the young people that were at that festival! There's no one in the civilized world who believes that what the Hamas/Palestinian terrorists did that day was 'justified' and 'deserved' by the people of Israel !! The world looked on in sheer 'horror' and 'disbelief' that something like that would happen to Israeli citizens! I'm really happy that you made it out alive! I hope that you live a full and happy life and realize that for whatever reason it was 'meant to be' that you survived. I hope that if needed, you can get the support you need to help your emotional and psychological well-being. If you need it, please ask for help!! My family and I continue to pray for Israel and that all of the Israeli hostages are released. We also pray for PEACE and for the war to end! .

I still can't believe what happened. I've been attending psytrance parties like this here in Switzerland for 20 years. Whenever I think even briefly about my friends in Israel, tears immediately well up in my eyes. Sometimes I don't even know what to say anymore, then I always think about what I learned as a child.
