i will be the only one who doesnt like this version, they all have amazing voices but those runs just dont fit the song, they all trying to stamp their mark on it and they were all out of whack.

Completely AND respectfully disagree. When I compare the 2 versions, I think the HUGE difference is that Boyz II Men held back and were letting Mariah be the spotlight. Budakhel,on the other hand, had the ambition to share the stage with Katrina, NOT back her up.

@@iancremmins4727 We agree to disagree because you mention gimmicks but as much of a fan I am of MC, she’s a gimmicky singer. A TALENTED gimmicky singer. Her “whistle” wasn’t always necessary but she incorporated it anyway into many of her songs. Mariah’s an excellent vocal arranger but there were times she needed some restraint (too much window dressing in her creatively constructed backing vocals). I have no qualms if you dislike the vocal style of Katrina Velarde but she, like Morissette Amon and Elaine Duran, emulate Mariah, who musically raised them and many singers from the Philippines.
