Not a chance, untrained eyes don't understand it. And it won't be flashy enough for the moronic masses, it will get poor ratings. This is why I stopped watching films and found entertainment of my own. Reality is better in reality than behind a screen.

@@WhoThisMonkey Fuck off, you pretentious wanker. You don't need to be a genius to find this fighting cool. The main reason most movies don't do this is that it's *hard* to learn these choreographies and then perform them quickly and, most importantly, *safely*. How do you teach an actor who's never held a sword how to fight like an expert in a couple ofweeks?

@@WhoThisMonkeytbh olomouc is about brutal and cool fights, not 100% realistic. But yea, they bases their techincs on HEMA.

@@WhoThisMonkey no, untrained eyes understand it perfectly, its not exactly complex, theyre swinging pieces of metal at eachother and trying not to get hit, and it would totally sell bc action has built in story tension sans any writing at all, and also this choreography is ALSO flashy/fantastical, compared to realistic fights or real fights, which are just running away or shooting people from far away or cheap shotting/tackling eachother and/or wailing wildly, and stomping/stabbing people while theyre down.

I love these videos where you mix and match different weapons. My favorite fights are those that do, like the mass action sword fight, and the bardiche and sword vs spear and sword! Keep up the great work Adorea!

I'm glad when I was young the only fights had were with hands. If you lived way back in the day it would be terrifying to have to settle fights with these weapons.

This is very good!!! I tend to focus on Asian methods which seems to be shrouded in mystery and perhaps a bit of hype in some fashion. European methods were straight to the point. However, that spin which exposed your back was risky.
@benrichards1694

If I remember correctly, occasionally if you wanted to get a good swipe with a rapier, you could do a spin to gain force. I could totally be misremembering though.

Wait, that guy actually got away with a spin attack in an Adorea video? ;) Just a slight tease, you guys are aways awesome with the realistic technique and acting, making it look like the fighters actually want to hit each other instead of just clash blades a bunch of times. I also got a kick out of how the winner immediately decided to make sure there were no witnesses. XD

I know it's helpful to reverse your grip on a dagger when, for example, using your full weight to increase stabbing force on someone in armor, but Is it beneficial in the more defensive context shown here, or is that just for cinematic flair?
@patrykantos6595
@patrykantos6595 Жыл бұрын
If you reverse the grip on a dagger you create a sort of a hook, that can be used for grappling. But it is incidental and was probably done for flair.

Good enough but a little bit unrealistic. Almost every move opens at least one leg of opponents and they don’t use it in the fight. It couldn’t be in a real historical fight where more than 50% of wounds are leg ones. Nevertheless, good enough and I like it. Keep improve!
