I think most of the work is in editing than the camera, contrary to what you are guessing. Especially the light blur and him moving backwards.

Great breakdown, as always. Watching your tutorials I frequently find myself thinking, "oh of course that's how it can be done" after you've explained it, which I think lends credence to the fact that you do a nice job of simplifying complex effects and sequences into an easy-to-follow thought process. I'd definitely be interested in the drone/inception style transition you mentioned!

Zoom and "perspective" are not related. Zooming is like scaling, it doesn't affect parallax or perspective shift. Only physical movement thru space does that. Any parallax shift seen at the end of that Beach shot, if it was done in the manner you suggest, would most likely be the result of him trying to twist the camera while zooming at the same time, and moving the camera thru space while trying to do so.... Intentionally or otherwise. Zooms and pans do not introduce parallax.

YES PLEASE DO THAT INCEPTION TUTORIAL... I HAVE A QUESTION, IF HE HAD HIS CAMER AT A 90' ANGLE, HOW DID HE FILL THE FRAME? ARTIFICIALLY ZOOM IN? WOULDN'T HE THEN HAVE TO ARTIFICIALLY ZOOM OUT AS WELL?

Hey, thanks for the vote. I will look at doing a video for that. If he shot at a rotated camera angle the frame would always be full because the aspect is never changing. He would only have to zoom in digitally if he rotated the camera in the computer. Thanks.
