This is one of my favourite songs since I was a child, much more longer than this video! I first heard this song, if I remember well, in a CD that compilated recordings from the Festival Guitarras del Mundo. Thank you Mr. Qualey for this great piece, it always brings me happiness !

Quick story: So I learned about 75% of this song about 20 yrs ago and have only retained the intro since. Every now and then when I pick up a guitar I’ll play the intro. Fast forward, my daughter is 16 and has been teaching herself guitar and by ear she’s learned this intro. I had long since forgotten the title. We were discussing it today and my other daughter said “oh, you could do that Google thing where it listens to you sing and can tell you what it is”. So I did played it and it picked it up right away. It immediately took me here and I started this video. My girls instantly fell in love with this song even more and are determined now more than ever to learn it. Brings joy to a dad’s heart to hear them love the things you love. 😊 That said, anyone know where I can buy the actual tab sheet music and have it mailed rather than having it digital download?

Hi David, well I first met you at the Herford Gallows Folk Club in 1975, and am so glad that after all these years you are still playing as well as ever, I was at that time a part of a Duo "Rustik Parts" we could never reach your standard but music just makes so much fun at any level, and listening to you is just incredible, please don't stop giving others inspiration. Thanks Russ Thomson

My guitar teacher gave me this book recently titled New Age Musicians and started me on a Michael Hedges piece in it, but i happened across One Time Swing and cant put it down. Your technique serves as a reminder to us all that practice can make perfect...and a lot of fun. Thanks for your music. Evan

David, I have this in my playlist and I realized I had not told you what fun it is to watch you play "One Time Swing". I absolutely love the ending, it makes me chuckle each time I watch. I have started working through your Daheim but I sidetracked myself learning Silent Night arrangement to play for the family. Back to it after Christmas. Merry Christmas to you Tim

@davidqualeymusic15 жыл бұрын
Hi, I have the main skeleton of the 2nd part as notation, but not all of the smaller improvisations are written, but when you have the main part the improvs will become evident. You can buy the piece as a "Single Piece" at my website/webshop. d

Do you have the transcription of the second part in your web site????????????? I mean, the part that looks like an improvisation........ If you have it I´ll surely buy your reflections book..............

David! Just discovered your music through the vinyl sleeve of a wind an hill record, I have to say soloique is a favorite! That's also an interesting guitar you are playing with the raised top, might I ask who built it? Cheers
@davidqualeymusic7 жыл бұрын
Hi, the guitar does not have a raised top. Around the edges of the top the builder has thinned it out more like a "moat" so it looks like the top is raised. The builder is Cornelia Traudt from Germany, who builds beautiful instruments and I have been playing them since 2000.
@pulpiSnova15 жыл бұрын
I have the bought the first part only, but I want the second...... Please.... I´ll buy the second part at the same price... so make the transcription please.............
