I dont think Haley believed her 100% but she knows Brooke when to push and went to back off. She made sure Brooke knew she was there and gave her a link to getting help.

yo man i love how Haley, Jamie and Nathan relate with Brooke. they treat her like a real family member.and Naley are the only ones that seem to care for Brooke at this time. we need more Baley scenes

@Elsa20ans i was thinking that myself, when she goes "must've been some fall down the stairs, does it hurt?" it was almost as if she was like, okay we well know it wasn't a fall down the stairs thats done that, but you don't wanna talk about it, so i'm here whatever, which i think is really sweet of her. i think haley is the least selfish of the 3 girls on the show.

When Haley said, “must have been one fall down the stairs.” It shows she did not believe her. I don’t think anyone believed her, but assault is not something you can corner a victim on. All you can do is let Brooke know you’re there for her. Haley knew enough to not push it. She just told her she was there for her.

i TOTALLY agree with Shiiithappenss Peyton is Brooke's bestfriend and she couldn't tell she was lying. You could tell Haley knew Brooke was lying when she said "that must've been some fall" sarcastically but she went with it. Peyton isn't a very good friend.

So I'm basically going to say what everyone has been saying. It's ridiculous that no one noticed that Brooke was lying. She wasn't hiding most of her bruises, she had some on her body that were covered, so people could see the HAND SHAPED bruises on her arms / neck. And mark made them all blow her off. When Haley said that must have been a pretty nasty fall i wanted brooke to look at her and be like.... I didn't fall Haley...... But he ruined it

i totally agree with what you said about haley brooke and jamie. and obviously brooke didn't fall down the stairs. she was beaten up at her store and the dude that beat her up took her sketches and her computer and totally destroyed her. but you probably know that now lol. but you should have seen her when it first happened!! i was ready to cry

@DuVeMars4evr DEFINITELY. the two of them were amazing together during those seasons. But then Haley was more with Peyton and now Brooke and Haley don't even talk anymore. I just wish they could go back to being great friends again. and Haley was / always been a better friend than Peyton to Brooke
