First time watching this I was sophomore. Now I’m 31. Easily in the top 3 scenes of the series. Such a happy moment with a dash of melancholy. Really brings out our emotions as humans. The ones that we cannot avoid if we wanted to.

Perfect song, forced ending. Comparing 4x09 Leyton to 3x09 Brucas is not even close. Brooke and Lucas' moment didn't need the confetti, the amazing scenery scenery​ or loud moments of happiness. I remember rolling my eyes at how contrived this whole scene felt. While it's still a good scene it still just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Regardless of any of our opinions it's a FACT that Mark wrote Leyton in S4 bc he didn't know whether or not the show would be back next season. Hence; It was contrived as hell.

If you want to see something that is contrived, go watch the ending of 2.10.
