They were strangers when they rode in to the job site. But when they rode in, everyone took notice because these were the legendary Concrete Riders ‼️ They came on strange contraptions with which they seemed to have developed a special closeness, enabling them to seamlessly work together, man and machine, to perform the tasks for which they had been called. As is always the case, soon their tasks were complete and their time on this job was finished. But we can breathe a little easier knowing they have just moved on to share their skills and expertise on the next job in the next town. The Concrete Riders were here. Long live the Concrete Riders‼️‼️

2:26 I actually had a hole that was caving in under my side porch. Rather than fix the issue, I had a load of gravel delivered and I just filled the underside of the porch. Its amazing how gravel can just turn into pseudo concrete after just a few months.

No more concrete riders. *bawls eyes out!* Keep the song for the next build series. :) 32:34 I hope they checked to make sure there were no missing parts and/or extra parts. You know what flatpacks are like. :D I'm guessing that the final level they are prepping for at the end of the video is the roof?

Would be nice to add this Week 31 video to the "2020 S series" playlist. I thought you decided to make a combined 2-week video (31+32) until I discovered the week 32 alone video today... Thanks for your great work throughout the years !!

At 17:00 and a bit after that you can see some shots of how the tower moves as the crane swings around with various loads. I find it interesting that with these loads, which seem to be pretty light, as the crane swings the load around the tower moves away from the load (it helps to playback at 25% speed to see this). It seems the counterweight over-balances these loads, and it's pulling the tower to it's side. I've not found views of heavier loads, which presumably would case the tower to swing toward the load.

I would imagine that, since the problem at the Hard Rock Hotel in New Orleans, Every insurance company will demand a complete video record of the construction process. Start to finish, from different angles, time code stamped and maybe done by several independent contractors from each angle. To provide a check on each other. This video looks very professional and was not done by someone as a lark. They were paid and paid well to turn this kind of product.
@constructionwatcher53814 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is very well done. And you have offered an interesting theory. But have you looked at the rest of the Hospital Construction that runs back quite a few years, long before the Hard Rock Hotel issue? And his two separate series on his hotel demo channel, from several years before that, all taken from the same vantage point? I'm afraid your theory is simply wrong. Seems a lot more likely a person with a convenient vantage point and a serious interest in photography has grown more skilled over the years, producing better and better product.
@HospitalConstruction4 жыл бұрын
I wish I was well paid! But I actually have no association with any of the construction companies, and the channel actually runs at a net loss. I very much take your theory as a compliment, though, thanks! (I could possibly theoretically break even if I loaded up each video with ads, but I don't want to do that.)

02:26, In your vedio really an incredible scenario, I can not imagine pouring sand and stone in road outside our fence of our jobsite in TAIWAN. We have most serious environment regulations copy from US and Japan. Similarly case will be fine at least 1000 us dollar each time we violated.

Thanks, In Taipei or other major city, We can not easily put anything outside our fence, a steel fence 2.4-3meter height with at least 30cm concrete podium, also water not allowed flow outside, even truck wheel dirt road just outside the gate will be fined more than 1000 dollar. The resident near-by apt to call relavent agency by special phone 1999. I really envy them work in Sanfransisco, not evey regulation are serious but focus in noisy, dust and dirt, we recieved large impact to influence our time and money. I do the construction job more than 30 years at Taiwan.

They sometimes make exceptions when appropriate. In this case, a tight space with no other room, and a small alley that is not used very much. They are sometimes allowed to close or block the alley temporarily.

@silentepsilon8884 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if you noticed, but there are often text explanations at the top of the video and it was explained that the gravel is basically a filler material that is used instead of styrofoam panels to 'raise' the ground in certain areas where concrete floors will be poured. Watch again from 1:35 and you can see the text explanation at the top of the screen.
