00:00 Hello Everyone!
The 2022 FTX Crypto Cup sees Magnus Carlsen, Alireza Firouzja, Levon Aronian, Anish Giri, Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Liem Le, Hans Niemann and Praggnanandhaa gather in the Eden Roc Miami Beach Hotel in Miami, Florida for the 2nd Major on the $1.6 million Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. $210,000 and a $100,000 Bitcoin bonus is at stake in the 7-round all-play-all tournament. Each match consists of 4 rapid games on the chess24 Playzone, with the winner earning $7,500 (3 points). If the match is tied there's a blitz tiebreak, with 2 blitz games followed, if needed, by a single Armageddon game. The winner earns $5,000 (2 points) and the loser $2,500 (1).
For each rapid game the players have 15 minutes for all their moves, with a 10-second increment after each move. For blitz games it's 5 minutes and a 3-second increment, while for the Armageddon game White has 5 minutes to Black's 4, but a draw counts as a win for Black. No draw offers are allowed before move 40. Official website: chess24.com/tour

kid is obnoxious, but I think people aren't giving him quite enough credit. The fact he won 1 game against Magnus is incredible. He had a 15% chance of winning based on ELO alone, and then you take into account his age, lack of experience, no second, and it was his very first time against Magnus? That aside, the L speaks for itself

10:14 why can't i capture bishop f6 and promote it Into a Queen? How will black stop me from it? Edit: 1 min later i think i found why, so: Bishop f6 falls, King takes rook, pawn to f7 and NOW Rook to f3. Pawn promotes Into queen and rook Takes on f5(with Check)...queen takes rook and King takes queen. Black now is a pawn up...

at 10:10 fun variation to show, would be that if you as white igore the fact that rook is hanging and go Bxf6 gxf6 Kxe4 f7 then Rf3is the only move that wins bacouse after quinning rook takes on f5 with check forcing trade with queen and black pwns on the queenside win

10:12 After Nxf6 and Bxf6, you can give up the rook and capture the bishop because if black takes the rook, the pawn can't be stopped. Edit: Okay, I see the problem. You don't need to stop the pawn, because at the end of it all, Rxf5 is a fork and white can't keep the queen.
