This was a very educational interview. I love listening to brave people who have the courage to speak up about a disease that is full of stigma and discrimination.

That was great! I'm not HIV positive, but I greatly appreciate the message, because I am aging and still thriving.

What an interesting/fascinating interview. Kathy is an amazing speaker and storyteller...she speaks as if she were your friend. I'm a retired RN, and I've cared for many AIDS patients. I had one AIDS patient who I will never forget, her story is sadly remarkable. I believe this was in ~1994? She was admitted with pneumonia, which was actually pneumocystis pneumonia. (now called pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia, I hate when that happens.😉) She passed after a month. I was with her every day, even on my days off. She truly changed my life for the better.🥰 As a side note: Kathy, you are NOT a nerd. You are just like me...blessed with curiosity.

You are very strong. I don't think if I was HIV+ that I could ever share it with anyone.

@@michellejackson1096 the fact the the government knew there tainted blood in treatment centers and pretty much initially did nothing to prevent it was criminal.

It does matter if the spreader keeps spreading.

@@cocosurgerow she is undetectable, teaching people is important for details. The CDC has come out and said that undetectable allows you to not transmit the disease. Women are also less likely to spread HIV. Education is the best way to share this information.
