I'm one of those people who paints but (almost) never gets to play Blood Bowl anymore. Painting and listening to podcasts are the two things that allow me to keep that connection to the game, so perfect episode as far as I'm concerned!

The history of dipping goes back a fair bit further than Army Painter. A guy from my club used to do it 30 odd years ago.

Great episode! I really enjoyed you sharing the painting side of Blood Bowl. It is such a relaxing way to spend evenings but I have found that it slightly slows down how fast I'm able to churn out teams for tournaments and leagues. I concur with Thulian about the value of having a painting competition at blood bowl tournaments. I was a bit disappointed in Greece that there was no celebration of the fantastic teams some people had painted just for that competition.

Really quite cool. Is there a good e-mail address to contact you at, by the way? I'm a sculptor who does primarily Blood Bowl stuff, still working in traditional greenstuff (which is how all the old models used to be made!) and I think that the art of sculpting, converting, and making 'unique' models is such a big part of what Blood Bowl is to me that I hope I can convince others to look into it.
