One Year Loc Journey

If you happen to see this video, thanks so much for watching! I'm officially one year loc'd! I wanted to share the many stages and GROWTH my hair went through over just one year! It is truly amazing to me! I'm home with the loc'd community; they were just waiting on me to realize it lol! If you've been thinking about getting locs...just go ahead and do it already lol!
My locs were started with comb coils and are primarily maintained by a loctician. I retwist my own hair every now and then.

I just started my journey on Friday. I knew that there would be shrinkage but I was so shocked at how short it is. I've gotten several compliments but I have to get used to it. You're video of the different stages is the best one that I've seen. It's real!!! I know that I have to "trust the process" but I just wish that they would have started out a bit longer. Thanks for sharing your journey. 😊

You and your Locs are soooo beautiful & healthy! I finally decided to Loc my hair January of this year but my hair should be farther along than it is. My hair is so thin & it is growing slowly & not thickening up. Please tell me specifically what products you & your loctician used on your hair & how often did you wash & retwist your hair? Thank you so much! Keep in mind everyone's journey is different and not on the same timeline! My routine is very simple and minimal. I spray my hair daily with water, oil my scalp with a mix of jbco and avocado oil, wash with design essentials oat and henna shampoo and the rosemary and mint conditioner.

Thank you! I simply just twisted them together (works better when wet). It also helps that my hair is super kinky and mattes pretty fast.
