Never seen them either. I guess you can import the seedlings and plant in Northern Limpopo or KwaZulu.

@@richardbanksSA that’s an idea. I’m originally from KwaZulu and have been thinking about starting something for a while. I miss the days when we had avocado, mango, guava and all sorts of berry trees growing all over the community, and our parents only ever bought apples.

The trees look very properly pruned and in good health. I farm in the hot areas of Kajiado and you cannot open the tree to avoid sunburn.

We consulted an irrigation company and they did the connection. The tank is elevated to increase the pressure and distribute the water through the farm

My avocado started flowering after 1 year and while majority fell off a few have fruits. I am wondering what is going on, the trees are too young to hold the pressure from the fruits

When the tree flowers when it's very young, you're supposed to remove the flowers because it's still immature... failure to which the tree will have stunted growth or worst case scenario it may dry up

In most cases, avocado trees planted in a cold climate tend to take some time to grow but when they do... they are the strongest... so, hang in there...PATIENCE🤝
