Nice review. Pleasant voice. I also own a 2011 fuel injected ninja 250. As said in the video, very agile bike. For people who like riding bikes at high rpms such as with a two- stroke bike. Nice bike design. The engine has the reputation of being sturdy. The only thing I would complain of is the dashboard which is from a past era. I also own a '89 kawasaki GPZ 900 but as it is 80kg heavier than the 250 it does not bring as much fun as the 250. The 900 is more intended to be driven on straight roads.

I have almost all the Kawi ninjas. 🥷 ZX14r ZX10r ZX6r And of course my 1st bike the 250 Guess what I ride 90% of the time? The 250. It’s the perfect commuter city bike, great on gas, lightweight, and I never have to worry about someone stealing it/tipping it over/etc which gives me peace of mind to ride it around and leave it anywhere in the city. I’m 300 lbs and weigh almost as much as the bike, and I’m still fine with it on the highway. NOTHING wrong with wringing this bike out at high rpm’s that’s all a myth. Bulletproof little ninja 🥷 and my first love ❤️ I’ll never let her go 😂

It’s a lovely bike. Absolutely nothing wrong with the smaller CC bike. If I were on an A2 licence it’s a bike I’d have. E5 fuel all day long even on my 45 mpg motorcycle… 🤣🤣 I had the Ninja 650 - it was stunning. Was extremely reluctant to sell that one. Safe riding out there. 😊

I think you were absolutely right sticking with this one for your A2. A bigger bike restricted would have likely not been much different, perhaps a little more torque but then a lot more weight to go with it, so this was the best choice. It'll be sad to see them go if you're not able to keep them when you get the A, but at least you'll have had a few good years making memories with them.

Yes when I've ridden alongside restricted bikes, acceleration from around 3rd gear isn't a very noticeable difference

I've personally ridden both restricted and non-restricted A2 bikes. I much much prefer the restricted one's. They are often built to a much better quality, and the engines have far more punch from down low. The non-restricted A2 bikes ususally have to have the nuts revved out of them where the restricted one's have power right from idle, and are far less tiring to ride. The larger bikes also tend to be built a fair bit larger, so they fit me much better.

I have a 2004 zx10r …. And although I’ve been riding for years I find it can be abit of a hand full when really pushing it, and to be honest I think it’s far to fast for British roads. I really fancy one of these small capacity sports bikes, there’s something quite fun about riding a small bike fast, and with the added bonus they do more than about 30mpg 😂

On insurance, I might recommend when you do get your full A licence, do a check for what your insurance would be at the time versus in 6 months. I found the insurance for my first A licence bike (VFR800) halved by just waiting 6 months into holding the licence (when they ask you when you want the insurance, set it long, essentially). If there is a meaningful dip if you wait, it may well be worth keeping on Noxie for a wee while on the full A licence just to get the cheaper quote. If you can pair that wait with clicking an extra year of No Claims, even better. But that's just from what I found while shopping different bikes into comparison sites, it's not a guarantee, but something that could be looked at. On the drivers will give way to you on a straight because they think you're on a bigger bike, it might be that, but it might also just be they don't know much about bikes, because I've had ones try to give way to my 10hp Yamaha YBR125 on a hill, and it's not a big looking bike, being quite a narrow looking naked. Some people do just assume all bikes are going to want to and can push past (actually annoying if they do it on blind bends, as has happened a few times), something to keep an eye out for on wee bikes. A bigger profile bike has mostly helped me when on single tracks, people will actually let my VFR800 into passing places and work with me, while on the YBR125 there was a lot of 'I'm bigger than you' drivers who'd ignore passing places and then try and force me onto the verge.

I'm now just over 1 year in on my Kawi W800 (recently found out it's technically an A2 bike even though it's 800cc as it only 47hp if anyone reading likes that kind of retro style). Don't think I'll ever part with it. Passed last Oct direct access for full A license on an intensive course in 3 days. What baffles me is your paying £80 a month and my renewal this year went down to £219....FOR THE YEAR ! Insurance is honestly a joke for under 24's !

Nothing wrong with that 250, looks like a great bike. You seem to be obsessed with getting a bigger bike, because you can't at the moment. I get that, but much more fun spanking a small bike around the place than rolling off all the time to protect your license. I have loads of (mostly older) bikes, and a modern-ish litre bike I've had on SORN for two years... Favourite bike was an RD200 which I could ride more or less flat-out all the time, max speed about 85. Completely mental, but not actually that fast, and a big cheesy grin normally chilled the coppers out! 😁

The recommended tyre pressure for a Kawasaki Ninja 250R is 33 pounds per square inch (PSI) in the front and 36 PSI in the rear. It's important to check the tyre pressure when the tyres are cold.

I think these little bikes are great, I did really consider a CBR500R because it's the only one from a decade ago that was already a 500, but I ended up getting a bigger bike and restricting that instead. My bike still feels very nimble and easy to handle, and it has a ton of torque. Non riders will just overestimate these little bikes, my friend has a Ninja 300 and all the kids are always all over it when we're out riding even though my XSR 700 is twice the bike! Also, I have no issues with E10 fuel in my bike, even though it has a full system exhaust on it (with the catalytic converter and baffle).

I rushed to get a bigger bike, some guy had a similar bike to mine and got a bigger bike saying he realised "this was what biking was all about". I thought maybe there was more behind the metaphorical locked door, but it was just more expensive and not really anymore or less fun. I switched to a smaller machine and love it. Its cheaper to run and just as fun. The standard disclaimer is that its not as fast in the top end, but thats not street legal anyway. I think its smart to wait and maybe go to a different bike when you feel the time is right and the right bike is available.

I have a full license but chose a z400 over the z650 as it fitted me better and when I test rode both I preferred the feel of the engine of the 400. Nearly 7,000 miles in and don’t regret the decision. I imagine your Ninja 250 feels very similar. I am 5ft 2 and quite light so can get more out of it then say someone 6ft and 18 stone.

I did the same, I have a full licence and choose the Ninja400 over the 650 , I love my 400 to bits and as a first bigger bike it's great. Ok it's never going to keep up with the guys in massive bikes, but they have to stop for fuel more often :P

Not the summer footage! That's just mean in November, hah! Savage! Amd also, E5 all the way! Slightly more expensive but it burns that little bit slower, so the reduced range is negligible.

Yes the bigger bikes are a different ride , you can still chill if you want but having that extra power helps you get out of trouble ( yes it can get you in too ) you do have less warry if distance when overtaking, I road home from my Dad's close to Sleaford (Lancashire) to close to Stafford it was cold 6 deg c I was so surprised how many cars / vans pulled over for me I was not racing with temps like that I was just taking it easy listening to my music ( the good stuff you know Black sabbath , Disturbed , Judas Priest , Iron maiden , Dio, etc.) which if I go over a *** speed I cant hear LOL I was getting 38 MPG ish the MPG liked me keeping the bike in 6th me I liked 4th lol 2nd red lines to quick. I didnt both ways on 1 tank so a lot better than the zx12r which I would have had to fill up on my home for sure

Restricted bikes are often not as nice to ride as a bike that is making its “natural” output, for the cost involved you made a good choice with the 250 and sticking it out while you do your next test. Big bikes are useful and their understressed nature is nice to have but I get most of my pure enjoyment from riding when I go out on one of my “small” bikes. You can’t really wring the neck of a bike that will crack 100mph in 2nd and weighs 250kg with a full tank.

I've been riding motorcycles since 1973. I never understood why Brits want big motorcycles. Why do you? I'm 66 now and only ride between 9000 km and 10000 km each year. Many weekend trips and a single tree week camping trip each year. Your Ninja 250R seems perfect to me except for the high fuel consumption. The only reason I've got a bigger motorcycle is that it has a better fuel economy (28 km/l) and was cheaper than the used Ninjas in my area (Denmark).
