I listened to the end, and well worth it. Thanks for sharing your last 2024 ride.

That's great to hear -- thanks for letting me know. Have fun, be safe on your RS, definitely a mighty fine bike -- wishing you great rides in '25.

Thanks so much for the wonderful comment. I'm glad you enjoy watching. Of course I'm more inclined to continue posting videos when I know someone is interested in watching. All the best to you.

Thank you for the time, effort, and meaning you put in your videos. Being close to your age as well, I can only shake my head at the 90 second attention span that passes for deep thought these days. I replayed the ride section a couple of times and will rewatch completely to take in the feeling. Maybe you could add some boxer sound during the ride portions to further the experience. I bought a 22 Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 a few months ago and love it, and I love the RS on my local BMW dealers showroom I go sit on to see if it will be in my garage someday. Thank you

Comments like yours is the best reason I have for making these videos. Thanks so much. I don't do the typical motovlog but I do try to capture the feeling that makes us ride - sometimes that's a story and sometimes no talking is necessary. It's especially gratifying to hear you enjoyed the "ride section." It's fun to post something that connects with other riders. Only other riders understand the magic of riding, and since we're greatly outnumbered out there by other vehicles, it's satisfying to share that bond any way we can. Adding boxer sound would be great, I just have to avoid the wind and road noise that comes with it. Your Tenere is a mighty fine bike, a great dual-sport. You have the option of off-road adventures, that's something I don't have on the RS, but for now I'm fine staying on the pavement. Oh, and if you get an RS in the future, of course keep the Tenere too! Thanks again, all the best to you!

I think my R1250R is probably even less known than the RS.Less fairing less heat around the legs is my theory. Smallish tinted screen, hand guards and soft panniers was all that was needed. Great looking country for clocking up the miles where you are. Looks a lot like here in south-east Australia. Keep posting on your'e channel ,it's just like the bikes we both ride; under-rated.

You're absolutely right - the R and RS are both neglected by BMW's promotional department, luckily we found them nonetheless. The R is a fun bike - it was the first boxer I test road and it sold me on the engine. Yes, my area has some great rides, but I wish I could do a riding vacation where you're at. Oxley Highway, the Putty Road, Adelaide Hills loop, and the Great Ocean Road to see the Twelve Apostles are just a few of the great places you've got for riding. Enjoy that R and thanks for the nice comment on the video. Cheers!

Enjoyed the ride. I too just marked my first year with my new RS. Up here we’re in desolate winter. Got a great deal buying it in the dead of Feb last year $3500 off sticker. I think I maybe have 10 rides in.

It's good to hear from another RS aficionado. Getting a great bike plus a great deal on buying it is super nice. I see you've posted a video about Lake Superior -- no doubt you've got a full winter going now up in those parts. But more rides are not far away in '25. Thanks for the comment.

@@boolacalaca our camp is on that incredible lake. It's the 400 mile ride up there from our home in MPLS that has me doubting the RS and looking forward to getting an RT again. Everything else about this RS with all the options you mention are such a huge improvement over my 98 RT. I did move the included GPS mount up into the windshield cavity like you did, and I have the new Tom Tom based BMW navigator unit, which is adequate.

Correction - 22 rides on my app lol!

@ I like that the app keeps track of the rides. Also, I've done one 400 mile run on my RS so it's possible but I agree with you, the longer the ride the more the comforts of the RT come into play. Enjoy that beautiful lake!
