We sure appreciate you introducing us to US Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds. We stayed in two different locations this past weekend on the Snake River in Washington. Both were open parking lots with pit toilets, picnic tables, fire pits, shade shelters, boat launch, garbage cans, and no water; but the locations clearly allowed overnight camping per their website and signage. Nothing fancy and very little privacy, but we arrived after dark and left after breakfast, so it was exactly what we needed and they were free. Thanks for encouraging us to look into COE for camping opportunities. We look forward to gaining new insights from your videos each week.

@@oneadVANtureatatime We were on Lower Granite Lake. It was quiet (except the train at 5:50am, the noise was terrifying because we had no idea what it was) and dark at night, but we saw some American White Pelicans (at least we think that's what they were) on our way out. We were able to catch a glimpse of the WSU crew team and their shells at Wawawai Landing as well as a mini hydroplane do some trial runs. There are other, more private camp spots on the river though.

New to your channel. You are in my neck of the woods on this trip.

This is Tullahassee Loop Recreatipn Area. The river is the Verdigris River. The vines are not poison ivy. Poison ivy climbs up tree trunks and has air roots that cling to the bark. You are seeing vines.

Hello friends......You found another great spot to camp! Hopefully one day wife and I will be able to live the nomad life. Did you discover this location through Ioverlander or another app? Love your channel! Be well and safe travels!

Kayak information please thanks!

My kayak is an inexpensive kayak from Walmart. It is a Lifetime Model. I got this one because it fits perfectly on top of our van and is only 40 pounds. It has a 250 pound limit so Roodle ( our dog) is not able to go kayaking with me.... he is not happy about that! I will get the model number if you are interested😃

So I learned living in GA on Lake Hartwell If snake floats and you see the whole body above water it’s bad If only see the head sticking out of water it’s ok

Such an interesting place! It would be interesting to know what kind of big fish that hit your kayak! What kind of camera with lenses do you use? Roodle is awesome as always! Thanks for sharing! 🤙

I know there are some large catfish in there but would also be interested to know more. Carrie will get back to you on her cameras and lenses. 😂 It was pretty cool seeing that owl! I had know idea Oklahoma was going to be so full of birds and wildlife. 😀😀😀

Thank you for the invite, John! We just met up with some van life friends “nomadderwherevan” here in Tennessee and have a list of crazy places to see already. We are having a bit of a challenge finding a remote free camping location near the smokies. Please let us know if you have any ideas 😀😀😀

@@oneadVANtureatatime Seems to be so hard now since Covid. Everyone is into RV camping. As for free they for the most part do not exist except walmart type deals. There are a few on IOverlander. Your best bet is National Forrest using recreation.gov. The most are on the East side of the park near Cosby TN. 10-12 a night there are some FF sites. Sure wish we could meet up and show you the non tourist places in my park. By now you are gone from TN

I will get the info tomorrow. It is small and light enough that we store it on the roof of the van.
