Hi Subie, I received my used V2 Genesis and through trial and error, I found the perfect shim using your 0 effort method. You get the factory "click "and perfect alignment using an orange plastic two sided gem sized scraper blade. You trim off one of the ends and the sides and you align both the de-spined gem and the shim with the thicker end of the shim pointing down and the thin edge at the top. It slides in with the "click" (music to my ears) and perfect alignment with no "smiling" perfection! A perfect adapter for the Gem blade! Give it a try :-) I just love the razor. Nice! I got the Gem hack from you and it's cool to know the difference between the versions. I haven't tried it yet, but an injector blade will shim in there also. I haven't found a Gem I like so it got me thinking of some blades I do like and it fits, just need to do a test shave. I haven't found any advantage to having a blade that floats, my guess is that it's more forgiving and I'm not looking for that. Not surprising that the collab soaps with MSC and Yaqi are great, two great companies at the top of their game right now. Take care buddy!

Subie I have the Blackblade😳 #81 I think. I also purchased a lot of their blades on Black Friday at huge discounts. I think I avg under $0.50 per blade. That’s livable, but I would struggle at +$1.00 per blade. Well, I wouldn’t struggle, I would just do a whole lot of shimming Gems🤣

BlackBlade!!!? MANNNNN.... 👌👌👌 That's quite good for the FHS!! I think that may be the cheapest I've heard anyone getting them!! For me I just want the blade to last a few shaves - and the FHS fall off for me after about 1 shave in regards to closeness and comfort. The Gems don't - and that's why I was so determined to get one to shave 🤣 Thanks for the comment my friend!

@@SubieShaves​​⁠​⁠brother I would have never pursued a OneBlade.. NEVER.. but your video of the Gem Hack, made me want one. They have a Fantastic Razor. They are screwing themselves going the proprietary blade, residual profit route, IMO. Charlie needs to developed a straight up GEM OneBlade version. Get the razors in the hands of the people. Clear the proprietary blade hurdle that we all hate. Lol, watch Yaqi do it😳🤦🏻‍♂️ (of note I’m not a Yaqi fan, at all, avoid any videos or fast forward through any Yaqi soap, etc. never got my Romulus order.. so they are out for me🤷🏼‍♂️)

I am getting 10 - 12 shaves with a Gem and about 8-10 with an AC..I have read on some posts the FHS-10 blades start dulling and tugging after only a couple shaves. Have some interest in the Oneblade. hybrid...has the Genesis head in SS (not sure what version) and different metal for handle. Should I just stick with AC or Gem or are these worth a try?

Hey my friend!!! Always appreciate seeing you here!! I absolutely LOVE my Oneblade. I have said it for years - but their FHS blades continually let me down. At 1$ a blade you expect so much - and usually a second use just leaves me feeling like I used sand paper to shave. Using a gem though....it's amazing. Close, smooth, efficient, and 6-7 shaves easily per blade. But it does require a shim be made to use this hack with the new razors (hybrid included). I can't recommend the razor directly from them honestly - the FHS blades just don't work well for me personally. But If your ok with one minor tweak...and you want a Stiff blade in a pivoting head - well this works wonders. One of my personal favorites. Not sure this helped but hey - just wanted to say thanks for joining me and for dropping me a comment! I will also say you can regularly find these razors on sale in our shaver-to -shaver marketplaces.

If I bought a very expensive and beautiful car, the factory tires would drive very badly . So when I put on tires that I like, but I have to push to get it to start, is it a good car? If you know what I mean 😉
