The comments I’ve read so far on your interview are well deserved. I’d like to focus my input on how programs are labeled. I like ‘BL’ better than ‘gay’. I see it as an intermediate step to getting to your idea of not needing a label. If I were to find a fault with the ‘BL’ label, it centers on suggesting the young age of those involved in the relationship. I’m pleased to see at least some connections in BL stories are among guys older than being called boys, even if the story doesn’t make their age clear. … and in some narratives, the scripted maturity of a boy aged person is well beyond his being called a boy. Best wishes to the two of you and the many others willing to be in the BL industry. May all of you help to get your stories, as you wish, to be beyond a BL label. In the meantime, there is an audience who appreciates the stories being told.
