Her clinch was decent, so I said she should have tried tripping Sundell every time they got clinched. It's easier to fell taller opponent if you know how and continuing this, she would have exhausted her opponent out and leveled the field some.

I myself called a stop to the fight just a moment before the ref did, Rodrigues wasn't defending herself anymore, so it's the right call. Unfortunate it was just before the end of the round, but the fighter's health comes first.

The reality is that the ref should have stopped the fight earlier. The moment Rodrigues stopped defending herself, it should be stopped. They might be light and not hit that hard, but a punch or a kick can still do serious damage when the fighter is not capable to avoid it at all. This is NOT about smashing the other one to pulp or serious brain damage and if that is what you want to watch, I suggest you watch something else. It is about who is the better fighter of the day and there was no doubt about it in this fight.
