So proud to see the choctaw nation and the military honor guard that led them in to the powwow. Makes me proud though I’m not Choctaw. I am Cherokee. I taught school at Batiste and I knew a lot of Choctaw people from there. I also graduated from Southeastern State University very proud of our five civilized try and other Indian nations as well and what they represent and what they’ve been through to be where they are today. I am watching carefully to see if I can recognize anyone that I knew from the years back keep straight and tall and full of pride for your tribe, whatever it may be. You native women stand, proud and tall also because you are the backbone of your tribe. You are responsible for a lot of things going well within the tribe. Keep up the good work sincerely, Marilyn McGee.

The awakening of Native American nations is a powerful and ongoing movement. It encompasses a resurgence of cultural pride, political activism, and efforts to reclaim sovereignty and rights. This awakening is seen in various forms, such as the revitalization of languages, traditions, and ceremonies, as well as legal battles for land and treaty rights.
